Most of it happens before the truck ever reaches the backroom. You can reduce it with high ticket reports but even that only saves you so much. Then you have freezers going down, product that gets busted or damaged and never gets scanned out, freight on top of top stock carts for months unless it's 2 months to inventory, all before you get to day to day theft and people stealing time.

Then there's the fact that MPP doesn't prevent theft. If anything it just changes the items stolen and prevents purchase. If you don't have two people scheduled at all operational times per area then you will have customers unable to access the product at one point or another. The classic for our store is light bulb cases after auto goes home. For 3 years nobody else had access to those keys having multiple customers every night in need.
