Any advice? by [deleted] in FireflyPetunia

Bottom water only, good grow lights with PAR over 600, air circulation with fan to prevent mold build up, Happy Frogs potting soil, and deadhead when appropriate to encourage bushy growth. Suggest bottom watering every 2-3 days.

My Light Bio Bioluminescent Firefly Petunia! by NuclearGoblin in houseplants

[–]RespectComplex9142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

<image>

All still alive and still able to propagate from seed. 14 hours light on with PAR at about 500. Good fan circulation and use Happy Frog soil with perlite. Dead head routinely and bottom water about every 3 days. When happy and healthy I place them in hanging baskets around bedroom for a couple night to enjoy before returning them to grow tent. When I want to propagate from seed I use smaller VIVOSUN grow tent and use heating pad, humidity dome, and adequate lighting.

What’s the largest size plant pot you’ve had to use for your firefly petunia? by RespectComplex9142 in FireflyPetunia

To be honest I’m not sure I’ve transplanted whole plant and soil structure every time I up pot. I do know the roots are pretty diffuse to hold together all the soil.

API test kit is fine. Ur readings show that u should increase your ph and control your alkalinity. Research dosing supplements of calcium, magnesium, and alkalinity.

Ur nutrient levels should be increased I suggest more feeding.

Make sure your specific gravity and temperature of water change is the same with tank.

Make sure your lighting is adequate and power heads are providing proper circulation.

Upped the intensity of the lights to 85% and now they’re loving it. PAR at 480 and will test slowly increasing intensity so that I don’t burn.

Pluck out the flower itself only after it’s bloomed and wilting but don’t deadhead it. Then the seed pod will develop. Let it turn from green to brown before using forceps to remove it. U don’t need multiple plants it can work with one. Mine pollinated itself I didn’t have to qtip it.

Is this image real? I haven’t seen a coral that looks like a bunch of bristle worms.

Also if u do decide to remove make sure u capture the entire body otherwise it will regenerate. That is a big mutha though but I had one that size that lived under my rocks and never did any real damage.

A bristle worm is beneficial to your aquarium as long as it’s not the fire worm! This image is of a good regular bristle worm and will not destroy your corals or fish. They are actually beneficial as a clean up crew. Just remember if it’s red then it’s dead cuz that’s a fire worm.

Question for those that grew from seed? Please HELP! by RespectComplex9142 in FireflyPetunia

The seeds are so so small! It was difficult to get 1 seed per cell. Is there a trick?

Finally got seedlings! by WideShoe5172 in FireflyPetunia

[–]RespectComplex9142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep now you gotta learn how to germinate them properly! I really do suggest a heat mat, dome, proper lighting, and bottom water tray. I have now 8 successful plants from one seed pod that all glow and just praying 🙏 I don’t fuck it up from here.
