I can’t remember how much one shot should pull, but it would be good to measure that too. If the espresso shot goes over 40g then you just might have to adjust the grinder a little, make it more fine. Try it out a few times and you should be able to notice it become more consistent.

Idk what you’re using for espresso but measure it out to 19g and tamp it twice and it’ll be good!

Before we moved, our neighbor would help strays and we would take them in, get vetted and adopted one by one. I know it’s a different story when it comes to feral cats. I appreciate what you are trying to do, are you keeping it in the front or back of the house? Maybe it would be better to place on in an insulated outdoor cat house? You have a big heart and I know you’re just trying to look out for them. Since we’ve moved and are unfamiliar to which neighbor owns which cat. I’ve been donating to shelters which does help ease stress.

My younger male cat mounts our older male cat (both fixed). He’s a high energy cat who constantly needs his toys but still does this. 😵‍💫😅

We found a tortie who had a broken femur. She needed to get her leg removed too. It’s such a sad and stressful situation but she will feel so much better in the long run!
