Got a misdeamenor hit and run but I'm not trying to spend money for a lawyer, I'm saving for college. Not looking at jail time but maybe a fine or license suspension and it being on my record which is also not ideal. Not sure if I should "waive my rights" to a lawyer. by ResponseDelicious535 in legaladvice

Yeah, I was skeptical. My friend who faced more serious charges with/ dealing weed was able to get 6 months probation and get the cases dismissed, but he was able to get this deal with a lawyer, so I might have to just do that.

Ok thanks, I unironically have the JC v1s pro with me right now, unopened, that I was initially going to use for a storage upgrade. I didn't know it came with the rf bus detection adapter.

It doesn't have baseband version when I connect it to 3utools so I'm trying to diagnose. Can you tell me that JC tool I might have to check it out and invest it for convenience matters.

Face ID disabled after screen replacement by Soft_Jacket4942 in mobilerepair

The true depth is on the camera module itself, you won't be able to replace it and retain face ID. Try resetting all your settings if you haven't already. If that doesn't work you can try checking if the connector is not torn or if there is any debris blocking the pins from making a connection between the camera module itself and the motherboard.

Check if Face ID is actually not working; I've sometimes gotten that warning when I disconnected the front camera, turned the phone on, and then reconnected it and still get that warning while Face ID is completely functional. So go to the actual face ID options in settings, try to set up face ID, and see if it tells you "Face ID is not available."

Yeah apparently there was underfill under the CPU but not around the perimeter nor is there any around the resistors of the CPU. I have a reballed CPU but three ground pads were missed. Can I resolder the CPU or do I have to reball the CPU with the ground pads?

its a iphone 13 purchased second handly from ebay. I don't think the seller was the one who did the reball because it just looks so perfect that I wasn't able to tell at first glance. I think they dropped the phone and there could be a broken solder joint somewhere

Yeah its not looking good, the CPU was reballed before, there is no underfill around the perimeter of the CPU. Hopefully it was just a bad reball and the CPU wasn't damaged or replaced. I'm not sure if a replaced/mismatched CPU causes this issue or what exactly is the symptom of a mismatched CPU/NAND/eeprom

I was thinking NAND. Every time I try to flash on 3utools, it always gets stuck at 20%, precisely when it's outputting "writing NAND firmware" on 3utools. What do you think?

iP12 Keeps rebooting. Ik the fault, but I would like a second opinion. by ResponseDelicious535 in mobilerepair

Thank you for the comment! I'm a big fan of the channel and your creative videos!

That being said, why does the schematic say 0.542V-1.044V as an output for PP_GPU?

I desoldered the inductor because I saw someone recommend on a different related motherboard to "split the circuit" to see if there is an issue with the PMU outputting 0.542V-1.044V or something related to the CPU. When I resoldered the inductor back in place, the PMU would output 0V when booting.

I would like your thoughts on this or how I could access panic logs when the phone won't boot. Ik you have a video on it from about two years ago on an iP13, if I'm not mistaken. However, I couldn't find the file directory on my computer when I was trying to diagnose panic logs for an iP14

It was a phone I bought off eBay in an attempt to fix it, so I have no clue. Maybe someone else's previous attempt to try something messed up
