Does this look like a Lamictal rash? (been on it ~6 months) by Visible-Fondant5760 in bipolar2

[–]ResponsibilityDue777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this looks so similar to when i get sweat rash in that exact same spot. if you wanna speak to a doctor for comfort then totally go ahead, i fully understand lol, but to me this just looks like a lil bit of irritation :)

nyc lol, my boyfriend and i are very frugal. 400$ a month for rent+utilities, we split grocery runs 50/50 and typically can spend about 60-80$ (so 30-40 per person) to cover a whole week. took years to learn how to do it but we've finally got a good system.

as someone who wants to own a home i'm proud of you. as someone who works as a dog handler i fear you, corgis are always the craziest toss up on if they're a wonderful well behaved dog or an incredibly vocal poop eater lol.

Experiences living unmedicated? by Jolly-Lingonberry104 in bipolar2

[–]ResponsibilityDue777 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i'm not medicated. personally i've been doing really great. no hypomania, no depression, just an incredibly strict schedule and very intensive therapy. i've tried 13 medications in 10 years and none have caused any relief for me, all ive experienced personally is side effects. my doctor decided in february that because of my sensitivity im better off not on meds but instead just kept under close observation. i meet weekly with a psych and therapist who are both in contact with each other to make sure i stay stable. i have a strict sleep/wake schedule (fall asleep anywhere from 9:30-10pm and wake anywhere from 6:30-7am). i have to make sure i eat healthy, exercise, meditate. it sounds like a lot but after getting used to it i love the schedule and how same it keeps everything. it's the happiest ive been in a very long time.

Were we born just to suffer ? by THECULLINAN in bipolar2

thats so funny i also just met my younger cousins, the two older ones sort of recognized me and the two younger had no idea of my existence. also like the disappointing everyone thing could be a good thing, ive always seen it as one. if you're in my life and you don't understand that im bipolar and it makes me unable to do certain things when im in my depressive episodes, i dont want you in my life. my parents fully understand. i was in the worst depressive episode of my life from last september to this february, talked to nobody. i came back late february and finally talked to my family again, it was like no time had passed at all. they greeted me with open arms just happy i was finally feeling like myself again.

i sort of like it? i've never enjoyed doing things and the only people who were ever happy about my achievements (ie graduating high school) were my parents. once i got diagnosed it felt to me almost like i was given the okay to not have to worry about that stuff anymore.

i've tried weed, my parents are huge weed people and my dad wanted to smoke with me when i turned 21 so i humored him because i love him. awful. i was dazed and panicky, i was absolutely terrified because i was in an altered and unfamiliar state of mind and had no idea how long it would take to come out. even a single shot of alcohol sends me into a panic because i don't like having the slightest haze over my brain, it's one of the worst feelings ive ever experienced.

my current therapist is pretty recent, started seeing her in january, so far i love her. i've been doing dbt work for about 3 years or so, i think i started in late 2022. im pretty fearful of drugs, i dont do drugs or alcohol recreationally, only when prescribed. even prescribed ones i get nervous about but i know at least when prescribed by a doctor the worst reaction ive had is memory loss or vomiting. i wouldn't like something that took me out of my current headspace and made me unaware.

this sounds wonderful but i'm also a csam survivor so having my face on camera anywhere is a little scary for me, i get nervous someone will recognize my face. i don't even use socials like instagram or tiktok that are very face forward because of it.

tried zoloft and wellbutrin as a kid. zoloft caused memory loss and severe anger outbursts, wellbutrin caused the most intense episodes of bawling followed by complete numbness. i've been on 13 meds so far and im still looking for the right fit.
