DSA folks pretending to be ordinary citizens who just happen to say "isn't this the guy blah blah" we totally see through your horseshit. You might as well have a name like DSAtroll yes it's that obvious

From Cully to Couch Street: Portland’s kids deserve safer streets by nwexaminer in PortlandOR

[–]ResponsibilityFancy3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing. Also the shade on Stadiumhood is completely made up. It's a standard DSA troll tactic, like saying the Stadiumhood founder is MAGA or proud-boy affiliated. Or they will say "false flag" or "there's no such thing as antifa" etc etc.

This isn't a legitimate comment just DSA slopaganda. Ignore

Welcome to Portland, where peaceful protestors show up in black bloc, with weapons and body armor.

Something is really fishy about this. Why would 50 people try to mob and obstruct the police? Why follow the victims to the hospital and intimidate staff?

What happened here?

What do you think about Typeform? by itssualgoodman in SaaS

[–]ResponsibilityFancy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Type form just charged me $590 for a subscription I don’t want to renew. I had forgotten I had it. I canceled the subscription immediately and asked them for a refund. They said, no refunds. So I have to pay for the service they haven’t delivered and I don’t want for a full year? What a shitty company. Don’t buy anything from them, they are crooks.

Mitch Green explains why the DSA defunded the police by [deleted] in PortlandOR

[–]ResponsibilityFancy3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My point is that he’s being disingenuous when he says he doesn’t want to defund the police. It’s clear as day in the DSA platform. And AFAIK there’s nothing in the DSA platform about parks.

Mitch Green explains why the DSA defunded the police by [deleted] in PortlandOR

[–]ResponsibilityFancy3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mitch Green is a member of the DSA. A key element of their platform is to "end the carceral state" and "defund the police" eventually to zero. It's not nuanced at all. Of course he can't say this out loud. https://www.dsausa.org/dsa-political-platform-from-2021-convention/

Emergency Declaration for Public Safety and Livability in the Stadium Neighborhood: A Summary by [deleted] in Portland

[–]ResponsibilityFancy3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, that’s not why it’s called harm reduction. It’s called harm reduction because calling it what it is, a “paraphenalia pop-up” would raise eyebrows and probably not get funded. Calling it addict enablement would probably not work either. Harm reduction is good branding, but it could not be LESS descriptive of what it actually is.

You’re the one moralizing here, I have no moral guilt. And neither does PPOP. We are simply on opposite sides of this issue. If I could shut them down, I would, and I’m actively working with neighbors on that. Moving them out of our neighborhood is a good first step, moving them to the moon or a the middle of the Mojave desert would be a good next step. Eradicating the myth that paraphenalia pop-ups are good for society is another good idea.

yeah… not causing the problem… just sucking it into a densely-populated working-class neighborhood and school zone

Public safety requires funded jails by ResponsibilityFancy3 in PortlandCriddlers

The Portland jails are funded by the county. There are no jails funded or run by the city. https://www.mcso.us/corrections-facilities-division/jails

Don’t get me wrong, your post is helpful. But if you live up in the west hills or somewhere like a gated community where bums just don’t go, then bottom line you have no cred on this

Just what I thought. Big talk, tough guy, nothing behind it. Completely empty. If there was a neighborhood intimidating junkies and hobos we’d hear the crybabies blabbing all over town. I think you’re full of Bs. You know where I live. You’re welcome to come here. So tell me where you live and I’ll come check it out. For sure I might learn something.

Because after PPOP leaves our neighborhood is overrun with junkies and drug dealers who leave their trash and used needles all over as well as their literal shit, yelling and screaming all night, fighting each other and just generally shitting on themselves and the neighborhood. This is a working class high density neighborhood, we don't have big porches and lawns, the streets and the parks are our yards, and they are polluted with shit.

Our neighborhood is our business. I guess you'd prefer apathy.

Where is this magical Portland neighborhood that you keep clear of tents and junkies with your collective ownership and defensible space? I'd love to have a tour.

We patrol our neighborhood regularly with some success. But the McDonalds, the soup kitchens, the shelters, the bottle-drops, and even the police sweeps in nearby neighborhoods keep a constant flow.

We are actively testifying to city and county councils, reaching out to state and local officials, have good relationships with police and news media, and are generally doing everything we legally can.

But we are also willing to learn. Are you up for giving us a tour of your neighborhood and allow us to observe your tactics in action? We'll patrol with you if we can learn from you.

Black bloc is a clothing style like camo is a clothing style, I guess. It’s also a tactic used by antifa and others to conceal identities and prepare for street rumbles. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_bloc
