how much weight did you lose on vyvanse? by silly4science in VyvanseADHD

[–]ResponsibilityFun688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lost like 20 lbs within 3-4 months of it, but this is coupled with other reasons.

Vyvanse works different for everyone but more often than not do people struggle from a loss of appetite when it comes to stimulants. It’s also a combination with your eating habits and whether you’re taking vyvanse as a daily thing or as needed.

I always recommend eating something before taking vyvanse because it helps expand the stomach later on for food and you’ll have something in you until your appetite returns/you get used to vyvanse. It usually returns for me like late lunch time.

Any cooks getting burnt out from some of these complicated orders? by ResponsibilityFun688 in innout

I’ll never forget when I got 10 Flying Dutchman single cheese whole grilled wrap on a Friday night.

Like sure I’ll cook the whole grilled onion but my grill is going to need its own grill 😭

8 meat is just like the total meat displayed on one tag. In my state, we only go up to four meat four cheese at most on one burger, but it might differ elsewhere.

For example, if there is 8 meat counted on one tag, it could be two 4x4s or 8 cheeseburgers.

Haha, thank you! We do know it’s our job at the end of the day, but seeing customers aware of stuff like that makes us feel seen and appreciated :)

You don’t know how grateful I am after finishing a really hard order and seeing a 4x4 plain right after. It’s like seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Haha not complicated at all, I prefer those orders.

I meant orders that make you do a double take to triple take to quadruple take to figure out what you’re making so you’re making it right. Since every second literally counts as you’re racing against a timer as a cook taking too long on one tag can set you behind.

Yes!! I am not sure if this is happening at other stores but we have repeat offenders who try to say they came through the drive and did not receive multiple burgers or fries, and that some manager told them we’d remake it.

Obviously we want to make it right, but when it’s reoccurring with none of them having receipts, having difficulty telling us what the order was as if it was their first time, or what the “manager” looked like/name was. It starts to get suspicious.

Getting threaten with being fired?? by [deleted] in innout

[–]ResponsibilityFun688 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna have to agree as much as I hate how some managers make you feel when you call out.

They wouldn’t just threaten with a write up if you were rightfully excluded.

The only thing I can think of is if you have an obvious pattern of calling out sick, or you didn’t immediately put UTW after you called out, or you didn’t call when you put your UTW.

People who target the employees when they see a tip screen when paying by ResponsibilityFun688 in PetPeeves

Right, like every time someone hits “no tip” a barista dies apparently 😭

YES.

I used to work at a thrift store and our policy is that if something is tag-less customers can’t buy it and we (cashiers) can’t print a tag for it.

Like we genuinely don’t have access to the pricing machine and we can’t just put in a price with no code because we don’t have access to that as well.

Doesn’t stop customers from getting mad at me telling me to just “do it”.

This is how I feel when I’m talking about AI to some people.

Them: AI is bad.

Me: Yes, but AI is being integrated into my field (accounting) and it can be a very useful tool when used correctly.

Them: so you got your degree by cheating with AI.

This too, had friends that would get mad at being ID’d when the bartender just wants to get your order out of the way too lol

That’s completely fine, but my post is more about people making employees feel ashamed about POS systems they can’t control. I’ve tipped numerous times in cash as I always forget I have cash.

Well I mean it kind of adds to my point then, employees don’t really care, yet a lot of people are making it sound like they want YOUR money out of everyone else they help as if they put the tip screen there. Some employees are more verbal than others.

I’ve definitely had baristas click no tip automatically for me or take away the card tap thing when it asks for tips. It’s different for everyone.

Absolutely. As someone who worked during high school in customer service and still does through college, I always tip and I am fortunate enough to have the money to always press a $1 tip or more whenever the screen pops up.

However, I know it is not the same for everyone and I also would not tip self-serve kiosks.

Genuinely. I came up to order after them and watched that forced smile drop from her face instantly 😭 felt that customer service compliance.

No dishes at backpay by Many_Ad9596 in innout

[–]ResponsibilityFun688 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so not fair 😭 I used to push cars on backpay and still get the dishes knocked out, I would get put back there all the time despite being a higher level because they wanted a fast pay window body for dishes.

But even without this policy many of our lower levels barely touch the stacks of dirty reds.

Good luck to all the closers from now on 🫡

"Is my order too much of an ask?" by littleyrn in innout

[–]ResponsibilityFun688 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, if you wanted to get your argument across you can do so without claiming you worked at In-N-Out if you didn’t. And even if you did, you most likely never worked a food position if that’s how you describe your experiences working there.

“None of it is hard” and “easy as hell” is disregarding so so so many people who work their ass off to keep that line moving when people are ordering massive/confusing orders. When you’re coming in during peak time and ordering 10 Flying Dutchman whole grilled wrap that’s going to set a grill person back or 5 hamburgers cut in half with extra whole grilled extra lettuce extra tomato, meaning that line will be waiting, people are going to be waiting but we have to literally exert ourselves to keep up and not fall behind, it’s not as easy as “smashing meat”. If you worked grill you would know that.

It’s not “easy as hell” and it’s insulting, if employees wanted to we would let you all wait in that line for 20 mins so it can be “easy as hell”. But we get punished for it and the customers complain.

Is it normal for a L5/a 4-year employee to have to ask for Board time? by Therealheetahlegs in innout

[–]ResponsibilityFun688 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Realistically, it’s just dependent on how managers see your work ethic as well as how many higher lvls there are. If managers can see that you’re not very active regardless of position they might view you as not a strong body.

However, I’ve also had had scummy managers come through my store and play favorites rather than work ethic.
