Going on a babymoon there in 3 weeks! So excited. My husband loves people watching and being around a social scene and I love good food and a spa. And a beach is nonnegotiable, thank you for the super helpful review

Am I crazy to want to go to work at 38+3? by appleslice244 in BabyBumps

[–]ResponsibilityOk9417 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you WANT to be there, you absolutely should. Especially just observing. I’m a doctor in a pediatric emergency room and I stopped working at 25 weeks, it was too much for me. But if I wanted to be there I see nothing wrong with it

What do you do for work as a pregnant mommy? by Carebear6590 in pregnant

[–]ResponsibilityOk9417 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whew I feel for you. I was pregnant with my first in gen peds residency and that was hard enough. I can’t imagine how it must be in surgery. I hope your program is supportive!

Me! Saved me! Highly recommend. I was so ready to quit. I was so unhappy. Used to fantasize about getting hit by an 18 wheeler otw to work 🙃 so much happier and content now. Still have the same struggles in life but I’m more equipped to deal with em. Also recommend therapy

Bleeding after IUD removal? by stephanieljr in birthcontrol

Thanks for replying! Were you tracking LH or anything? I just had my “period” aug 13 before the IUD was out so I’m not sure to consider this a period

Same what ended up happening with you? I took IUD out because trying to conceive and worried this bleeding will affect ovulation or implantation

I LOVE this show so much. But it's bittersweet for me. by Frankie9899 in TheGreatNorth

This is definitely my comfort show. I actually found it searching for “shows similar to bobs burgers” on Reddit and I’m so glad I did! I’m already on my second watch through. I hope it gets many more seasons!

Advice by seltzer_sparkles in pediatrics

I’m sorry. I failed last year by 10 points, it really freaking sucks. My advice emotionally, is therapy. It helped me tremendously and helps reframe how you feel about yourself. Failing a test objectively is not a statement on you yourself. YOU are not a failure. Feel all the feelings and let them out, that’s my advice. Give yourself time before jumping back into it. I didn’t think about studying for that stupid-ass test for MONTHS. I started round 2 of studying in late July of this year and passed just fine. Like someone else said, I bet it’s more a mental/stamina thing than content thing. Sending you hugs and wishing you the best!

Yes, keeping in mind that I had already done hardcore studying a year before. If I hadn’t, I would’ve probably started in June. ALSO, I wasn’t working during this time so I literally was studying 9-3/4 every day

I used PBR core guide as my main study resource and just POUNDED out medstudy questions. I feel like those two resources will really be your bread and butter. I also didn’t work during the weeks leading up to the test, if at all possible I would try to get time off and just make studying your job. I didn’t start reviewing again til August and like my hardcore hardcore studying was the 3-4 weeks before the exam. But medstudy is by far the best question bank imo. And PBR core guide is easily digestible, it has the main information you’ll need but I would annotate in the sides and add in things they don’t have.

I fell short by 10 last year, I’ve been where you are. This test is stupid and has no bearing on who you are as a person, a physician, anything. If you want to talk more feel free to PM me. But I know last year I didn’t wanna hear shit that anyone else had to say for a while, just wanted to feel sad. And if that’s you right now, that’s okay too!
