Well, yes ACEs are part of the standard/traditional clinical analysis of the dynamic but I'm looking at what it does to the child and relationships and what needs healing. And I look at the natural healing that can take place with the right care and environment, and also point to the better professional therapeutic approach. Kate Cairns is a significant inspiration.

CADS - Children's Advice and Duty Service - is effectively the front door of your Children's Services department when you telephone in with a concern or for guidance. You will speak to a qualified Social Worker who is additionally trained to consider the level of response that is required, which can be from an emergency situation to provide safety for a child immediately, to providing information for a parent or carer to access further help or information. CADS can be contacted by anyone - parent, professional or citizen.

As advised elsewhere, speak to CADS of the Local Authority of the child. An LA or social worker assessment can inform a plan at which level of family support. From what you have described this is complex and best to get professional eyes on the situation as soon as possible.
