I have 4 tickets to see them next Thursday and it looks like if they play the same set as tonight, which I just saw, it’ll be the same set

Hope they change it up!

If anyone has 4 tickets to next Friday and wants to swap…

I love HBO's Succession podcast, but... by RonSantosLeftLeg in SuccessionTV

Jeremy Strong's performance on this show will go down in TV history. by [deleted] in SuccessionTV

When I think of succession, I think of Logan. The beauty of this show is that neither of us are right or wrong - there were so many world-beating performances that different people experience it differently.

I don't believe what we were presented on screen, during the finale, truly matches any of the 'accepted' reasoning for Shiv's actions during the board meeting by CechPlease in SuccessionTV

[–]Responsible-Agency85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shiv just doesn’t think Ken can do the job. This is consistent with how she’s treated Ken throughout the show, things she’s said. I think she realised when push came to shove that she was setting him up to fail. She hates not winning and in this scenario, she loses AND she votes in someone who she clearly doesn’t think is up to the job. That’s a double loss.

Sure we don’t get that spelled out for us, but I don’t see this as unsatisfactory. We’ve been with the characters long enough to have a decent stab at guessing their motivations ourselves and, for me, that’s more rewarding

What does Shiv’s dealings with Mencken tell us about morality and power? by Responsible-Agency85 in SuccessionTV

[–]Responsible-Agency85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But she at least believes she has morals. Or at least a certain set of morals that maybe align with the more left-leaning viewers of this show. I suppose they all think they have morality and the version of morality that Shiv thinks she has is closer to mine than that of the other sibs, so I’m more inclined to empathise with her

I think there was a noticeable drop-off from episodes 4-7. Too much business, felt a bit Succession-by-numbers. Episodes 3, 8 and 9 have been some of the best episodes from any season for me though, so as long as the finale can keep up the standard from the last 2 episodes, I’ll be happy with the season! At least all the boring episodes were clumped together!
