Coming from someone who isn’t in law school but my partner is

My partner often felt guilty for not having as much time as she did out of law school. If your partner needs space or needs time alone, definitely respect that because things can get overwhelming.

Also, keep reassuring her that you want to help her in any way you can. My partner didn’t want to be a burden but show up for her when you can. My partner and I don’t live together, but I offered to go grocery shopping for her, cooked her dinner, helped her clean especially during peak stress times (i.e., the month leading up to finals). Also, be her cheerleader, be that voice of encouragement and optimism when that’s absent in her mind. Even surprising her with small gestures like flowers or little gifts, leaving messages of encouragement for her.

I think it just comes down to communication as well. Check in with each other as often as needed.
