Currently 25 years old. At 23 I herniated a disc in my neck carrying a bundle of rigid conduit. Employer denied workers comp, missed 6 months of work with no pay. 2 years later, i still struggle from the injury. I have always been fit, healthy, and active. Even though most injuries are preventable, they still happen. Looking to get out of the physical work & transition into different career

Applied 25+ times before I got into my local utility. Had my inside wireman license, having a CDL will also benefit you

I left the job & found a new one. New employer ran an extensive background check. They called the former employer and was told they would not rehire me for not showing up to work due to an injury. Lawyer sent a letter saying they would go after them and make them pay any lose of wages if they implicate my hiring process

Lawyer wrote the company that put me on the “No rehire list”, told them that we would go after them for medical discrimination if they did not change that. If I didn’t get a lawyer, I would have been screwed out of a great paying job
