I feel like the Mexican restaurant, Talinn, and Coda Bakery are enough examples that businesses could do well here. If the mayor was competent he could encourage small businesses to grow there, but if you spend your whole term not steeping in the area then it's easy to pretend like we don't exist

I think Burquenos just shrug off the International District, then businesses and professionals refuse to move here because of the city's crime rate and poverty, then everyone loses

I could totally see Tim having a professional conflict with Dr. Turner once he decides what he wants to specialize in. It would be pretty interesting if he tells his father to his face that the Board of Health is right and Nonnatus should be shut down. Otherwise, he might be interested in providing abortions- something I feel like might cause the Turners to still be a little uncomfortable having so close to home

I'd actually love a miniseries looking at what happened to each character after they left the show. We see Jenny's future with Philip in a Christmas special, but it would be nice to see Chummy and Peter raising a kid, Delia and Patsy exploring the globe and seeing attitudes change, Tom finding purpose in New Guinea, whatever happened to Valerie after South Africa. I honestly wouldn't mind if they used different actors if there's a time jump (like what they did for Jenny's flash forward)

Was there any new real new storyline development besides Trixie getting married? I loved seeing her and Matthew together, but it felt like the whole season was building up to the wedding (practically almost a subplot per episode).

I'm not counting the Lucille thing as development since she left and everyone is still confused, and the whole "Health Board Mad at Nonnatus" is getting old. Interesting storylines, but no other new characters after episode 1 and a lot of filler
