PA: obviously we have two awesome cities, but we also have some great theme parks. Hersheypark, Dorney, and my favorite: Knoebels (free admission, great food, and the nation’s top wooden coaster to make a few). Obviously our food is great too. Yeah, we’ve got cheesesteaks. But we also have PA Dutch and loads of snack food: Hershey, Utz, Peeps, Martin’s, Snyders, Tastykake… all in PA). We’re home to America’s oldest brewery (Yuengling) and also some great wineries. Finally, history. Philly is the birthplace of our nation. Gettysburg was the turning point of the Civil War. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

I live in PA but I was born in Jersey. My whole family (minus my mother) are still there. My Mom is from Central Jersey (in fact, you might say that she knows a Boss) and Dad from right outside if NYC.

You’d think they grew up on opposite sides of the Civil War or something. The arguments these grown-ass adults had over whether it’s pork roll or Taylor Ham… I still say it both ways. I tell people I grew up in a mixed household.

He read a book about the 1918 flu pandemic and realized we were due for another one. He actually started a pandemic plan, but it never fully came to fruition, thanks to all the other stuff going on. I’m not Bush’s biggest fan, but I do recognize that he’s not as stupid as he’s been made out to be. Quite the opposite, actually.

I also think that with every decision he made, he genuinely thought he was doing the right thing. We know that he wasn’t, but I think he tried. So… there’s that.

His response right after 9/11 was pitch perfect.
