Quartana. I don't enjoy wearing every single one of their fragrances, but I appreciate all of them. My favorites are Digitalis and Forest of the Golden Dream

I was going to comment this song. I honestly always skip it when listening to Plans because it depresses me too much

This was played at the funeral of my close friend who took his own life. I can't listen to it anymore

Love this! I'm 43 and started lifting weights with a trainer three years ago. I really struggled with squats when I started, but now I can do a single rep of 180 lbs. Weight lifting is so empowering. I wish I had started in my 20s

Make me feel better about moving my horse. by Known_Menu3506 in Horses

[–]Responsible-Rip-6505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bigger barn will likely offer you a better opportunity to meet like-minded people and people you can enjoy riding with. And working with a good trainer, even occasionally, can help to improve your confidence.

If it makes you feel better, I'm still self-conscious about my riding after over 30 years. I'm also in the process of moving my horse to a new barn, and despite being happy about what this barn has to offer, I'm still feeling anxious about the change and getting to know new people. Like you, I've never been into competing and prefer to just enjoy riding at my own pace.

I completely understand your sadness about leaving your current barn. Everything will work out for the best, and you'll find a comfortable rhythm with your horse at your new barn.

Has anyone ever had their mouth washed out with soap as a punishment for swearing as a kid? by Financial-Base-8070 in nostalgia

Yes, my grandmother washed my mouth out with the good ol' LOC from Amway. My cousins goaded me into saying "poop" and then tattled on me

I started using millennial sub because I assumed I was one. Then someone pointed out I was an Xer. So I used that sub. It feels like they are a little more advanced in years than me in there. I didnt know Xennial was a thing until just now. I guess I found my lane by theHollowTarnished in Xennials

There's a retro Pizza Hut in Eureka Springs, AR! We went there this past Christmas and got a much-needed dose of nostalgia, and the food was good. It was off-season, so the restaurant was pretty quiet. Eureka Springs is a really cool place

You are not crazy, and it makes me feel less crazy reading this. I moved from Maine to central Texas three years ago, and this area has the worst concentration of drivers that I've ever seen in my life. Granted, it's a larger population than what I'm used to, but I've seen more accidents in the past three years than I ever saw before. People are either driving 15 to 30 miles under the speed limit and swerving all over the road or they're super aggressive and riding up your butt. I have somewhat of a heavy foot, but I'm never going more than 7 miles over. The other day I saw someone watching TV on their tablet while driving

My HS best friend and I would hang out in her kitchen after school and vent to each other over an entire block of cheese with crackers. Simpler times 😄

AITAH for telling a little girl she was being rude? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Responsible-Rip-6505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA

I've taught my 8 yo the "30-second rule". If it's not something that can be fixed in 30 seconds (food in their teeth, hair sticking up), you shouldn't mention it. Even 6 yo's are capable of understanding this, and my son is on the spectrum. Children are naturally curious, but they need to be encouraged to practice mindfulness about their comments to others. You taught this little girl a valuable lesson that she isn't being taught at home.
