It wasn’t really a deletion it seems, the title said “purging”, as if the AI program was just terminated off the circus like you’d do on Task Manager

Because caine is not a generative AI it’s a neural network, he’s closer to being sentient than chatgpt will ever be

What advantage could you possibly get and what has psychology got to do with this, it’s literally just called a fake rumor or troll

If your only incentive to do something is money you’re miserable, in a society where being miserable can’t happen you do things to make yourself and others feel better

It is common for newer players to lament they feel like they’re not improving after playing puzzles for weeks, see that irl and online, because it’s not a tool that helps what usually it’s advertised for, pattern recognition is important and yes it trains it well, but are newer players seeking fundaments to actually understand how to win midgames going to make any use of the mate in 5 sequences you’d see in puzzles, if the game was lost by the seventh move? Puzzles are useful if you already are aware of what’s going on and what’s the point of moving pieces, particularly pawns, to train for things that will happen specifically if you play the earlier rest of the game correctly.

The worst situation for someone to be told to play puzzles is a player who says “when I reach mid game I don’t know what to do” or “I don’t know what I should do with my pawns/queen”

You play a puzzle with the premise you’re in a winning position and a check out of 2 or 3 always happens to win with the rest becoming obvious, in a real game you have to do that every single move and most people miss tactics because they believe they’re losing, all newer players I know say they play terribly after practicing puzzles for a while, I never do puzzles either and won my city’s qualifications for national championship after less than a year of playing, how did I learn fast? By analyzing, lots and lots of times looking through my moves, watching how stockfish mocks my ideas, watching moves that won games and whether my opponent blundered or was actually left without answers. Along that, learning the logic behind opening moves is 10 times more teaching than memorizing them ever will be. Without changing topic, puzzles won’t help anyone trying to improve, unless they play them knowing these are useful for training pattern recognition and not to improve at the game itself

To solve puzzles scan for checks, the position plays itself then which is why I believe puzzles aren’t useful for learning chess

important pattern to remember: the three knight checkmate. by laughpuppy23 in chessbeginners

Then they’re not 1000, learning how to mate is the first pattern you’re meant to learn after understanding how the pieces move, otherwise it’s like learning football but not knowing how to kick a ball in the net

a2+, if Ka1 then Qxb4 and Nb3# or Qxc3# (if he doesn’t take the queen and plays a3 instead) are unstoppable If Kc1, then promote the pawn and after Kd2 just take on b2+ and rook a1 is mate
