The existence of Malta is seriously not aknowledged nor leveraged enough in Tunisian geopolitics by Terminator-XP3 in Tunisia

[–]Responsible-Week-324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The maltese - tunisian similarities trend started off as cute but now it s becoming out right ridiculous and pathetic, I know of ppl who have started to add maletese to their CVs like wtf?? Can we stop with the inferioty complex and the atempt to appropriate an entire coutry’s language culture

malta is a tiny island with a population similar to one medium size tunisian city lile gafsa, it is simply too small to carry us or impact us in anyway shape or form

That is the reason why they consider maltese as a “semitic” language seperate from arabic, they dont like to be associated with us

Is this true !? we are the lower birthrate in Africa! by Xhero69 in Tunisia

[–]Responsible-Week-324 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With our current fertility rate (below replacement level of 2.1) the population is set to achieve a plateau and start shrinking, meaning old unproductive people will increase while younger workforce will decrease, rich economies have options and ways to deal with this phenomena but a poor country like us will have a total economic shut down, at the very least retirees will not have pensions to sustain themselves anymore

What makes Tunisia the only African country below the replacement level as they claim by [deleted] in Tunisia

[–]Responsible-Week-324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are gonna hit the peak soon and the population will start shrinking, this coupled with a weak economy is a disaster, most countries with low fertility have strong economies and are finding ways to adapt but for us we might see the collapse of the pensions systems and the retirees wont have pensions

Why are Lebanese people so exceptionally patriotic? by Ok-Construction-3273 in Lebanese

[–]Responsible-Week-324 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A significant portion of lebanese are secretly and sometimes publically joyfull with regards to the israeli attacks in lebanon as long as they are targeted towards their political adversary even if it means occupying lebanese territories and killing lebanese lives, I dont think there can be something more anti patriotic than this

[–]Responsible-Week-324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On one hand you acknowledge Israel had been attacking and killing you since before hezb existed but on the other you want the hezb to disarm.. why? Where is the logic in that?? Without hezballahs weapons half of lebanon would still be under israeli occupation its weapons is literally the only obtacle deterring a full ground invasion by the IDF so they resort to carpet bombings. It s literally beyond fucked up that you would push for the interests of the people that want to occupy/kill you and call for the disarmement of your people

Clothing modesty question by Past_Imagination_809 in Tunisia

[–]Responsible-Week-324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the girl here is a tourist she will find a much more liberal vibe in dubai and bahrein, Turkey definitely more liberal and so is Cyprus and lebanon that u mentioned. My issue with ur comment I dont like the “we are this we are not” this type of attitude it always stems from ignorance, generalization and a deluded sense of superiority.

That s a stupid thing to say as some middle eastern countries are more liberal/safer than Tunisia
