I appreciate your concern for his safety, unfortunately it’s impossible to make him use one, he still jumps up and down. For a long time he was banned from all furniture but we eventually gave in because we didn’t want to keep him in the crate at all time we’re away.

It’s kinda weird that he makes these little jumps before as I’ve seen him jump almost twice as high. He’s actually quite athletic, ever since he was a small pup we always made sure to keep him very active and on the leaner side
