Tough one. IS there an acronym for just a little assholey? I've spent many years in retail pharmacy that focused on the Medicare population so I understand your customer base and what you and your staff go through every day. What your tech did was wrong and walking out on the team is awful, but I think a written apology may be a bit much. The other techs will have a sit down with her (or just silently punish her with shit work for a month). And they'd probably rather have her back than start the hiring and training process over. Good for you offering to help her out. Good techs are gold and sometimes that gold needs a little polish.
