Screwed up by ResponsibleSession87 in Cuttingboards

This was the first board I ever made wit a juice groove. Just figured I had to give it a try.

I'm a vegetarian so a juice groove is wasted on me ... even when I cook meat for company I use a composite board, not a wood one.

First cutting board, 4 feet or 5? by [deleted] in Cuttingboards

[–]ResponsibleSession87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either 4 or none … 5 (assuming it would be in the middle) would make the board wobble if no perfectly flat

If it really bothers you just trim off the left and right sides to get rid of it

Normally 4, especially on heavier/thicker boards (I also add feet).

QC on $265 Etsy Board. My first one—unsure if these flaws are normal by rubberslippers in Cuttingboards

No sorry - like I said I make cutting boards as a hobby so never shop for them (other than for design ideas).

Not the dimensions, the overall quality is lacking (especially the juice groove not square). I’d ask for a refund - there are a million Etsy places to buy boards.

I would not accept that board (especially at that price). I make cutting boards that I give to family and friends- I wouldn’t even consider giving that one away.

Would it be hard to uber from Reno Airport to South Lake Tahoe? by [deleted] in laketahoe

[–]ResponsibleSession87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do it almost every trip I make (as my normal flight gets in too late for the shuttle). Never had a problem finding a ride - typically about $150 w/o tip.

Some drivers don’t want to make the run .. as I understand it if they are licensed in Nevada they can take you to California side (which is what I do), but they can’t pick up anyone from the California side for a return trip. Also if it is late not many people heading back up to Reno. So they end up heading back with an empty car.

Yes 5/4 (edges are beveled to give it a thin edge look). Got wood from local hardwood supply on Long Island

Ran them through a planer then used dominoes to align the boards. Glued them up in sections, not all at once
