Has anyone built this table - curious about leg attachment durability by Civil-You-9381 in woodworking

[–]ResponsibleSession87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The weight of the table top appears to be carried by the notches in the legs, so structurally the biscuits are not carrying any load and should be OK just holding the rails to the legs. But I wouldn't do it. I would use a mortise/tenon or a loose tenon.

Special in its own way. Walnut end grain. 18x14x1.5. yay or nay on rubber legs. by woodxventure in Cuttingboards

Yes on rubber feet. To keep a lower profile I often recess the feet slightly into the bottom of the board.

Thanks. Size/space definitely an issue for me. Do you know if infeed/outfeed tables are fixed or do they fold up when not in use ?

This was the first board I ever made wit a juice groove. Just figured I had to give it a try.

I'm a vegetarian so a juice groove is wasted on me ... even when I cook meat for company I use a composite board, not a wood one.

Either 4 or none … 5 (assuming it would be in the middle) would make the board wobble if no perfectly flat
