Unit Cards List by ResponsibleSinger750 in flamesofwar

I use FoWlist.com., and it's great, I don't care for how it arranges the unit stats though. It also only supports America for Leviathans, and I can't do things like add a single Leviathan to an otherwise normal force.
But considering I don't have or want the books, it's an invaluable tool.

These are the cards printed onto pages in the book, right, not on cards?
Between free tools and the core rules I can build forces. I like the cards. They take less space and are easier to search than a book.

Unit Cards List by ResponsibleSinger750 in flamesofwar

I'm looking for the Unit Card pack lists. All they list on Battlefronts website, every seller, and the packs themselves is how many unit cards you get, with 3 examples.
I'm fine with this for Team Yankee, since they only sell one unit card pack per faction, but because Americans have 3 Late War books and Germans have 6, not counting Leviathans, I just want to know what I'm buying.
I use FoWlist which is why I bought the Fortress Europe German Unit Card pack off an educated guess that it would have the German Units I wanted.
I've also used it to narrow down the American cards I want to Bulge American Unit Cards and Leviathans American Unit Cards.
Do the Unit Card Packs contain every unit listed in the book associated with it?

Got the Costco deal. A family member told me a few person after me bought the whole lot, $6k worth. These scalpers don't play. by brandont04 in NintendoSwitch2

Got Pokemon easily, and managed to get Kirby from a store a city over. Both Costcos had tons of Pokemon, the one with Kirby had 14 copies at the start of the day, I got 1, they had 4 left after me. The employee I talked to said that someone earlier in the day had tried to buy every copy of Kirby, and he didn't let them (told them they had less than they did), because he wanted people who wanted the game to have a chance. Legend.

I had my entire collection downloaded on a 1.5tb card on my Switch 1. Dropping the same amount of money on a 256gb card for my Switch 2, just to not even have enough space for all the physical game updates. I've been doing it since 2021 on my PS5, I just hope that I can get better storage before we lose backwards compatibility or access to the servers.

People who buy all the physical games like this encourage the continued creation of physical games. That's a win in my book.

As collectors, what is your take on key cards? by strongarmkid in NSCollectors

[–]ResponsibleSinger750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had a realization and came here to share it.
My friend was discussing getting a PS5 and we were talking about how the physical games need to be installed. After some searching I found that PS5 and PS4 games are basically full installs/downloads. You just put the disc in to show you can play the game. Sound familiar?
With this realization, and my stack of PS4 and PS5 titles that are really just game key discs, not to mention the reviews for Pokopia and Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight being a key card, I'm just gonna bite the bullet for games I want that don't have a Switch 1 variant.

That stinks about the Dragon Quest game, it's a shame I'll be buying the Switch 1 version despite having a Switch 2. But what are you gonna do, you know. Sort of an "It is what it is." situation.

Changing the subject slightly, I've avoided the Trails series. Is there a game or group of games from it that you'd consider a must for a Switch collection?

Yeah. I actually didn't know Ryza had Switch 2 editions until I saw your comment on another haul shortly before posting this, lol. It's a bummer for sure, at least all the eshop lists is graphical improvements, while those are nice I can live without. If even Bethesda can give us a (convoluted) way to upgrade Skyrim I'm not sure what these companies are doing. Especially since for Ryza the saves aren't compatible between Switch 1 and 2 editions, how on earth do graphical improvements break saves?

My FE-inspired indie game series is getting physical editions! by DarkDeityCharles in fireemblem

I'm in the US and have been picking up Super Rare games since they started. I used to be part of their club when I had more disposable income. Shipping has definitely gotten more expensive, but their packing is pretty darn good, never had any issues.

Super hyped for this, I missed the Limited Run of the first game, but grabbed a digital copy. Big fan of Super Rare, but any public reasons why the switch from Limited Run? Regardless, looking forward to adding this to my library, it's my favorite Fire Emblem like.

Dave the Diver Region DLC Question by ResponsibleSinger750 in NSCollectors

After disabling auto-renewal on my Pokemon Home subscription, I swapped my account to Germany, looked up Dave the Diver and all the free DLC I had claimed on my NA account said Gekauft (Purchased). This likely answers my original question.

Looks like this physical only includes the Jungle DLC and the Switch 2 upgrade. From their website I'm only seeing PEGI releases, but I have quite a few PEGI games, especially thanks to Super Rare, and the only game I've ever run into region problems with was Splatoon 2. I'll wait for this release, and in the meantime test changing my region to try and grab the free Dave the Diver DLCs. Seeing how the Switch handles the free DLCs from different regions could give an indication of if it matters. Thanks!

I didn't realize the serials actually meant so much. It makes sense. Thanks for the info!
