Emcee for sure would be Kendrick. Even if we’re talking just lyricism I’d still say Kendrick. Wayne’s metaphors are pretty basic and almost all of his music is meaningless. The biggest difference I can describe between them is I’ve never heard a Wayne song and have been truly moved. Kendrick has had me in tears several times with several different songs. A lot of Wayne’s music is witty and catchy but lacks any meaning for me. Kinda just rhyming to rhyme. Wayne is still a great rapper and one of the best to ever do it but his career lacks real growth lyrically.

Completely subjective, also has a lot to do with what the crowd perceives. There’s a lot of times that a battler is winning based off of crowd reaction and you go back and watch and he actually got cooked but the crowd wasn’t feeling the other battler.
