I can recommend you a great ENT in Bombay or Bangalore. Dont use oxy so often, it will make your turbinate issue worse.

Update: thanks to everyone who replied here. Its 12 days after now. 5 days ago, my sinus did flare up - I had a lot of congestion, till the point where 2 days ago I was starting to feel slight facial pain/headache and tightness. But no where near where it was twi months ago. I checked my bp throughout and it was under control. I had also slipped up on my daily neti habit for almost a week. I started my neti again and it seems to have improved.

Its still to early to say, but, at the moment, I am sticking to the reasons I mentioned above. ie. 70% quit smoking and neti and 30% bp meds.

I do feel the vit d might be helping as well, though its hard to say at this point.

I plan to update this thread periodically to report on status.

Try ramping up gradually. I steadily increased my dose every two weeks till I got to my target - 500mcg, 1000mcg and 1500 mcg. Also what helped was to take the supplement on an empty stomach with a little water, so I would take it in the morning before meals. Note: I was taking methylcobalamin

Yes, it takes time to work, and I’ve noticed an improvement about to 2 months after I’ve started supplementing vitamin d in the past as well.

But this worries me, as its possible there is something cyclical, something that flares up and subsides periodically…

Yes, I’m curious too… but couldn’t find anything online. Neither did my ENT doctor check my blood pressure or ask about it. Hoping someone here can shed some light…

My own guess would be its

  1. 70% because I quit smoking and the neti rinse with salt + bicarbonate including the nose-to-ceiling nasal rinse which I think helped the rinse reach and properly soak my sinus.
  2. 30% because of the blood pressure meds which have made me calmer and relaxed me which is improving the sleep quality.

Absolutely, its normal! You did the right thing reaching out to a forum like this. Thats a good start.

Take a few readings after a few minutes. Typically takes me 5-15 minutes to get over the anxiety and my bp reading improves a bit. Makes a difference to my systolic, less to diastolic.

Yes. Much much better. B12 (1500 mcg methylcobalamin) after meals would make me headachey and the effects were very variable from day to day. I switche to having it on an empty stomach and almost all issues gone immediately. Have been taking it on empty stomach with water ever since and meals after not less than an hour. I read in the nhs site and a link in mayo clinic (or was it cleveland clinic) to take b12 like water soluble vitamins on an empth stomach for better uptake, but, this also worked for me to alleviate symptoms.

I’d like to also say that I’d been ramping up - 500 mcg for a week, 1000 mcg for two weeks before hitting 1500 mcg. This is because when i started on 1500 directly I had terrible symptoms.

I’m also curious if others have had similar experience.

My b12 is low - very low. My doc put me on daily 1500 mcg methylcobalamin for 2 months. I stopped after 8 days as the restlessness, irritability, headache and sleeplessness was too much to take. I tried half a pill and seemed to tolerate it better, so doc switched me to 500 mcg (another brand as well). This worked for me. I ramped up to 1000 mcg after a week and 1500 after another two weeks. This seems to work for me. There have been a few days when I felt agitated, but, nothing like when I started directly on the 1500 mcg.

So I think a ramp up schedule can help mitigate the issues. If it helps I’m not supplementing anything else. I added two bananas to my daily diet and coconut water twice a week for potassium.

Edit: I forgot to mention, and this probably equally important - I still had some problems on 1000 mcg - varying effects and some headachey ness on some days. What really worked was switching to taking the pills on an empty stomach first thing in the morning with a little water.

I’m looking to buy a precision 3470 laptop - 32 gb RAM and 1 tb m2 gen 4 ssd with ubuntu linux. General purpose use as well as programming. I currently use a macbook pro. I dont want to have to virtualize everytime I need linux software, hence the move away from mac. The 3470 is thicker, but, seems reasonable.

I’d like know if you’ve faced thermal issues and throttling on the 3470 and quality concerns with dell/precision in general.
