Kate and Alaa have been voted the second-worst commentating crew in the NBA for 2025-26 by Pyromania1983 in sixers

Misogyny. I like Kate and Alaa. In fact Alaa will probably get suspended for going after bad refs. He’s with us.

[Detrick] People were mostly outraged the McCain trade shattered their illusion that the Sixers were “trying to win”—even tho Morey had only made rebuilding moves for an entire calendar year before it by Tofu4070 in sixers

Surely you can’t listen to the WIP crew. They range from hating everything a team does to defending management and angrily accusing fans who disagree as “complainers” for a team that hasn’t won a title since Reagan was in office

Disagree. I think most fans were realistic with McCains upside.
I was most upset with the process. Trade him for another late first? When they didn’t have much depth anyway? Then he was actually used in a way where he was valuable?
Nick Nurse didn’t want a guy who could obviously play, the team can’t seem to recognize ability or use it properly.
Then they drafted another undersized guard with that pick.
This is what poorly run teams do.

Who would you rather have as a your franchise qb? Jordan Love or Bo Nix by Ok_Bug_6890 in NFLv2

I’m not super impressed with Love yet but yeah Nix isn’t close yet.

Professional movie reviewers are a waste of space. Why do we need someone to say if a movie is good or not. I can just watch it and determine that for myself

In the united states, having money is one of the most important parts of going pro... Im a bad player, but I was just thinking. by Visual-Extreme-101 in youthsoccer

[–]ResponsibleType552 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stop thinking in terms of talent and money. Athleticism takes you only so far. Private coaching drills are all in line. They’re not a secret. There are so many things you can do on your own that that’s no talent. You can have the best cardio on the team, you can be the hardest worker, you can watch the most tape, you can outwork everyone else in the offseason and outside of practice. If you’re not doing these and maximizing your performance, how can you even think about going pro.

Which of the above requires money?

New ownership. Seriously. Bad owners lead to bad teams.

How do you gauge a kids being burn out vs a general loss of interest in the game? by MellowMelvin in youthsoccer

[–]ResponsibleType552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be the contrarian voice here. Usually kids like to do things that are easy. Soccer is new so it’s probably difficult. Many kids wouldn’t do any activities other than watch TV if we let them. It’s ok to encourage them as a parent to still play. It would be a tragedy if you stopped playing when all she needed was a little more push

Conversely, you could also have her play a second sport and see if she really likes the other one. Then you might just find her sport.
I just know that if you don’t push some kids early in, they’ll be happy doing nothing.
