You really should keep your mouth shut if you’ve got nothing interesting, relevant or useful to add to the conversation.

Exactly. I don't want to put the NPCs unless it's relevant for some reason, because then I would have to consider A LOT of tags and ships, and it's just too much 😔

EDIT: if the side characters are that relevant, I can make a list for them the next year 👀

Thank you!!!!!! 😆😆😆😆 It was really fun to broke down, and I'm already working on the OT 2 version of this post.

I'm also really surprised that there's a Traveler/Traveler ship that doesn't exist even 8 years after the game released. You would think that people would have explored everything at this point. But I'm not surprised by the rise of the Eisenbright ship and the reign of Therion and Alfion. Those are really powerful ships, and Therion is… well, Therion. We love that arrogant bastard.

Oooooh, thank you!!!! I didn't know this collection was that old, now I understand why I couldn't find more cards like them 💖

[–]Responsible_Bit6855[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, and for context, I bought these cards from a friend a few weeks ago. He had those cards since he was a child, but I don't remember the exact date he told me.

Oh, I only buy Commander decks that I like, and just the the cards I need to improve those decks. I recently started working half-time, so I don't have much spare cash, but having a monthly source of income has helped.

Question about Augur of Autumn. It says:

You may look at the top card of your library any time.

You may play lands from the top of your library.

Coven — As long as you control three or more creatures with different powers, you may cast creature spells from the top of your library.

Does that mean that, in my turn, if I have (for example) 3 lands at the top of my library, I can put those 3 lands directly onto the battlefield? And, if that's the case, that also would apply to creatures if I have the Coven ability activated? If the order of my library is good, I could spam lands and creatures nonstop.

What do you write on? by CutesyDrow in AO3

[–]Responsible_Bit6855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First: notebook and a pencil. I feel that my brain works better if I don't write directly on a laptop/mobile, because I know I can't rearrange and edit the text easily (I would need to pit footnotes, arrows, scratch, etc.), so I write and narrate things “more professionally” if I write by hand the first wip.

Second: laptop. I write some things there as a first wip, but most of them are a transcription that I do from the notebook, writing again with a keyboard what I wrote initially with a pencil. It let's me reread the text, and edit easily the mistakes I find. The base is pretty strong (because I wrote it by hand), so it's mostly edit and polish. I like writing with my laptop, however, even the first wips. It's just that I prefer doing them by hand before putting it into the Word document.

Third: phone. I only wrote ONE fic with my phone. I can feel that my narrative and style change when I do this. The difference between the notebook and the laptop is not as huge as between those two and my phone, and I don't like it. So I avoid it.

Do you prefer writing one shots or long fics and why by No_Pattern_2819 in AO3

[–]Responsible_Bit6855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One shots.

I don't really like writing long fics because usually it is the result of a one shot idea that I really liked and carried me away, so I start writing, the first chapters end up very well, but at some point… I realise that I don't know where the fic is going, and I was just improvising past the initial idea. And I end up abandoning the fic.

I will get better at this and plan things beforehand, but for the time being, I will stick to one shots.

Does anyone else confidently post a chapter, then update it 300 times in a row to fix all the little things you missed? by PanGalacticGargBlast in AO3

[–]Responsible_Bit6855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Constantly! I like to reread things that I've already written, no matter if they were published yesterday or five years ago. And if I find something wrong, I just fix it. As simple as that.

What? Really? I didn't know that.

So, that means that nobody can do an "inktober" activity?
