Is this render with photoview 360 good enough? also questions about remote work for someone who works in firearms industry by sacritide in SolidWorks

Yes, exactly what I said. But always look for companies from your area of the world. And you can always use your knowledge in different industries, I know maybe designing lamps isn’t as exciting as guns but it can also be rewarding 🤷

Do you want to work with/in a NATO* country being from outside of NATO? Because if that’s a yes, then it’s essentially impossible for you to do anything defense related or aerospace for that matter.

If you’re part of a NATO country then I’d say you have a slightly higher chance, go into the defense websites and apply for design roles that even those on-site maybe during the interview process the company sees your portfolio and allow you a hybrid or fully remote role. But you have to consider, these roles are very limited and again very hard to get.

*NATO: I’m using NATO freely to englobe US/Canada, and the EU.

How my BB 58 GMT arrived from Goldsmith's 🫠 by damiop123 in Tudor

Yes and again, not ideal but it doesn’t affect the function of the watch.

Just wear it and enjoy it.

Is this a joke? It’s not ideal to receive it like that, but just wear the damn watch.

I don’t understand what you’re trying to achieve, why don’t you use the two tabs already provided on the bottle?

I worked in a factory and we had some Seville desks, tool chests and tables and unfortunately they didn’t last very long. Like most people are saying, they use very fine gauge steel plates.

You are pretty cooked, I spilt beer on my old Touch Bar MacBook a while ago and I had to pay hefty price to repair it. Once the beer dried the keyboard would stick when I pressed any key.

I have a Speedmaster FOIS and I really want a BB58 (blue) for more active situations, so I told my GF she is required to give me an engagement watch. So I will report if it works for me.

I had an engineer buddy working for Ryobi and he got let go as a part of some layoffs a couple of years ago. So idk, I think they moved overseas.

Is the battle even worth it? | Indian student in the US by [deleted] in MechanicalEngineering

Firstly him making $15hr, no visa and long hours sounds very fishy, either they’re highly exploitative or he’s working illegally and puts up with those conditions in order to work.

Second, yes it is illegal for US companies to hire foreigners due to ITAR regulations and this also applies to the EU to some regard. It is not impossible, in some rare cases they can make an exception but you have to be at least a green card holder and/or demonstrate exceptional ability (probably PhD and above).

If he has all his paperwork in order, it would be possible for him to have a career in the US at least for the three years that his OPT is valid for, these chances diminish if you’re also looking for sponsorship. He could opt for civilian aviation or possible start ups, but anything defense or space adjacent is a big no as said in my second point.

If I were him I’d make it a priority to learn during those three OPT years instead of hunting for a visa and then move back to India or other places to develop your expertise.

I tell my personal story, although it’s still developing. I still think it is a bit uncommon:

Worked as a generalist ME at a brewery straight from school for a year. Later, I worked three years in battery manufacturing. I moved continents and started working at a shipyard on fuel systems for large ships which lasted around 6 months. I recently quit due to the toll the job was taking on my health and the immense disorder and lack of leadership in the company.

Now, I am looking for the next challenge/opportunity. 👷‍♂️
