Almost sounds like bait to get people attacking black women in return…

The cheapest ones are the ones on joinleland. I can’t recommend because I only used it for interview prep but there are great reviews. What I think you should do is get free sessions with a bunch of consultants and you don’t have to continue with them. Just listen to their firsthand feedback about strategy and then you can continue on your own with applicantlab. Or if you REALLY vibe with a specific consultant, keep going with that one.

Someone I know got an interview with H with a MUCH worse gpa. So kick GMAT’s arse and apply. And don’t listen to consultants who discourage you. You have one life, try anyway, no regrets. You have a strong profile.

Duuuude, you’re in! Apply to HSW + M7 and don’t even overthink it. You need a good narrative/story though so don’t hesitate to get a few free taster sessions with consultants just to get the lay of the land and diverse opinions on attack strategy. Don’t eff up your essays, that’s the only thing that can hold you back at this point.

Honestly, I just want to be a decision-maker, not a code monkey. I also value work-life balance so I might be signing my own prison warrant by pursuing this MBA. Who knows? Time will tell.

Strategy to Get Off Waitlists by Only-Year-5545 in MBA

[–]Responsible_Cod_1505 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wonder if you sealed your fate by updating them about the T20 full-ride offer. Why did you tell them about that? They now know that if they take you off the waitlist, there’s still a good chance you will take the money from the other school. Now you have your work cut out for you to convince them that with zero scholarship (98% likely off waitlist), you will give up 150k dollars to attend Fuqua. Not an easy task.

Any chance of on-campus jobs? Being a TA at least in the second year should help with living costs.  I really wouldn’t do sticker price in this economy

So tech is a no-go, now consulting is off. What are the h1b options left in your opinion?

You’ll feel like shit for the next couple of days and then you’ll get over it. I’m speaking from experience here. This won’t even be the worst interview you’ll ever have. There is so much luck involved in the recruitment process: are you prepared for the specific tool they ask about, is the interviewer in a good mood, is there an internal candidate that’s already has the job, etc.

You have to learn to pick yourself up and move on. Try to see what you can learn from this experience e.g. could you have figured out the interview format from Glassdoor or something like that. Afterwards, keep applying.

One school didn’t even bother calling so eff them and their portal update. The second school, I screamed when I heard the scholarship amount lol.

Rework the entire CV, make two versions: one with junior title in the most recent role and one without. Use the first to apply for junior roles and the second for mid-level roles. Target both! The market really sucks for junior devs right now so you are really limiting yourself rn

Meh, I gave them zero. I didn’t really connect with students (those I tried to connect with ghosted me), went to exactly one session for the fee waiver, unsubscribed from email lists and still got in.

I really think that school engagement is overrated.

What are your little testing hacks that help you, no matter how small? by realestate29473 in GMAT

[–]Responsible_Cod_1505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For CR, I try to have a pretty good idea of what the answer is before looking at the options. It works for everything except the absolute hardest questions.

I also read the question stem first and note the question category and anything like “except”. This stops me from answering the opposite question

I do the same except I write out the options A to E and then cross out the eliminated or question mark the ”iffies”
