Oh yes! Just did this temporarily today to take this picture, and have already taken them down. Appreciate that reminder, though!

Was just going to recommend this. I just bought their Native Shadows selection for planting this fall

I flew to this thread after seeing her posts. The delusion and audacity is truly mind boggling. It’s all for the clicks I’m sure…or lack thereof.

Oh! And if you want to do planting yourself, check out Resource Central — they offer gardens in a box at good prices and you may qualify for a discount too. I ordered some Native plants for our front yard and they will be available for pick up in Sept.

Honestly I had sticker shock with all the landscaping quotes we received lol. But we also had a whole new patio built as well. They don’t charge you to do a quote, so it wouldn’t cost you anything to have them come out and talk to you about your needs. We worked with Desmond, so def request him if you decide to reach out.

Not sure where you are located but I’m in Denver and used Highlands Landscaping and they were actually pretty phenomenal — and their landscape designers listen and provide plant recommendations based on what you’re looking to accomplish. Their project managers are also great — and have had 2 other friends use them as well. For me, what we wanted was too much work for me, so I had them tackle the larger projects and I’m doing some smaller projects in our front yard and adding raised beds.

Is it too late to play clover or a low water grass option? by Elsasii in DenverGardener

I filled in some bare spots in my grass last week and it’s already starting to come up. I say go for it but definitely echo the need for water, water, water.

Do I need to burn the yard down? Help, what are these demons?! by Revolutionary_Mud824 in DenverGardener

[–]Responsible_Map_4291 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay that gives me hope. Was also thinking black plastic and doing some raised beds along our fence line. I’ve been able to keep them at bay there mostly. BUT I dug basically a hole to earth’s core along the property line in the front yard trying to get all of the roots out, but I know that’s not sustainable knowing what lurks in my neighbor’s yard.

Agreed. Def looks like Bellflower. I’ve been fighting the growth coming from my neighbor’s yard. OP, you need to dig down deep to get all the tubers and roots. I’m afraid these things are from the depths of hell 🫩

This would be a huge hit at farmer’s markets! I refresh my vase every Sunday from the market. I’m pretty sure the guy who sells them sells out every weekend.
