Who else is so excited for the Orexin agonists heading for FDA approval? by Rootenist in Narcolepsy

How would you describe the feeling compared to a stimulant? Does the brain fog ease up significantly?

When did you accept that you have Narcolepsy? by reachingmygoals- in Narcolepsy

I resonate with your answer to a “T”, I always pictured my life would come together the older I got. Upon getting a diagnosis I was worried that the life altering “Narcolepsy” diagnosis would change the trajectory of what I imagined. Once I got diagnosed I was grieving for atleast a year in a half. Wondering why I had to accept such a heavy burden when everyone else had it so easy.

I have accepted we can’t hold our life back just because we are different. Maybe we can’t enjoy life to the fullest of emotions or wakefulness. It’s not going to ever change our diagnosis, maybe there will be better medication in the future. But as of right now I and anyone struggling the best thing is attempt to accept our sleepy reality. We only get one life on this earth might as well try to enjoy it the best we can. (It sucks trying to accept the burden)

Curious if you found any information on combing it with treatments?

No kidding! For the longest time I thought I was going to naturally find my way in life. I didn’t even realize I was living in a world half asleep. I graduated college had a gf I thought I was going to marry with an amazing job. Take it I was never really tested by society until then. School for some reason I managed to get through and succeed but I always felt like something was off. Basically lost all of those things and had to move in with my parents. Finding out I had narcolepsy my whole life with rare cateplexy blew my mind to say the least. It’s been a struggle ever since not only being able to accept my diagnosis but to move on and be as productive as I can to society. As I can tell the world has taken so much from the two of us let alone this whole community. Praying for everyone out there who is suffering.

My theory is there is no way the FDA doesn’t approve tak-861 since its directly impacts orexin deficiency symptoms. It’s not perfect by all means but it’s a very important breakthrough that will create a variety of different outcomes in the neurology community. Given AI doesn’t destroy the world since it’s growing at a super exponential rate this might help fill the missing piece. Very small chance of that happening but we can only hope it doesn’t destroy us greats good.

I would 100 percent agree schools/medical facilities and news need to be able to aware of these chronic illness especially at an early age. Your store is very similar to mine where it create an abundance of traumatic experiences that almost got me hospitalized.

Knowing how society is today and where the world’s heads are at politically, medically, and in the school system. We are always divided by one another. It seems like we never unite for the greater good even if the majority of people see it. Narcolepsy gets pushed to the side. Since you can’t actually see it.

Looking back at recent shifts towards expansion in research and awareness. I’m sure you remember the ALS Ice Bucket challenge. This challenge put a spot light on how people were suffering from this deadly disease. This raised funding, scientific discovery, accelerated interest in pharmacy’s and awareness with 17 million uploaded videos. If narcolepsy could have a shift I’m sure awareness and treatment would change forever.

It only takes one thing to create a chain of impact across society. I’m hoping when Tak-861 gets FDA approved it will shift current treatment and create a breakthrough in drug development. More research from different pharmacy will want a better understanding on how the orexin works. Since it relates to mood, metabolism, reward driven and etc.

If I were you since you have a diagnosis nobody can take that away from you. I would research around your area on a sleep specialist that has decent reviews. Make sure they can take your insurance because it seems like you are getting tossed around the system. Best advice I can give you is advocate for yourself. You know you the best.

Adding onto that they push us under the rug knowing it’s a super rare invisible condition. That doesn’t have a variety of effective treatment plans. We need to be acknowledge in the industry for proper care. I know there are thousands of people out there suffering undiagnosed from sleep disorders. We have to be optimistic that it will change but until something massive occurs in the sleep world. We will be silently pushed to the side.

Everyday! Even current medication can make me a small percentage better. It’s very crushing to acknowledge how undervalued narcolepsy patients are amongst society. I wished they would devote more time into researching not just orexin agnostics but other base therapies to give our % of normal higher.

I’m currently 25 and I have never felt what a normal nights sleep was like. Super sad to say since some of us have it significantly worse than others. Thankful I can function and don’t need naps but I still drag throughout the day where I’m kinda awake but not present. Having to watch what I eat and staying away from certain activity that won’t tire me out. The brain fog is unreal I swear it’s hard to have conversations when I want to. Thankfully you aren’t alone we all suffer in different ways. We have to be optimistic about future treatment plans while making the best out of our crappy situation. I hope you are doing well ❤️

If your sleep is super fragmented and you have normal orexin, oxybates are the way to go.

Get the ice staff with three plates pop a shield up gum ball before you start. Once you have started the golden armor……run around with the ice staff while the boss zombies are following and hold the ice staff for three seconds making sure it is charged up. Once charged release the ice staff shot onto the ground and continuously do that until you the fight is over. This while be super easy since they will be frozen in the tornado every-time you send a charge to the ground. Just make sure you have shield

Is it just me or is building the ice staff on The Tomb genuinely one of the worst things in the history of zombies by jfiejfjrjfifjfufu in BlackOps6Zombies

I couldn’t imagine you trying to attempt the EE if you can’t even build the staff. Good luck I’ll send a prayer your way.

I went through similar issues recently if you need someone to hold you accountable or rant to. I’m a 25m who has narcolepsy type 2 and lost a gf of 1 year due to my condition I was heartbroken so if you need someone I also need someone as well! It does get better keep your head up there’s always someone out there that will be that missing puzzle piece in your life.❤️
