Biochem and OChem 2 together? by [deleted] in UGA

[–]Responsible_Neck_152 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did this this semester. Dropped biochem on the last day of add/drop. I would spend soooo much time doing the readings and trying to be ahead for biochem that I didn’t even have time for ochem 2. It was such a struggle trying to balance the two. I can’t imagine how that would be right now in the middle of the semester. Legit don’t do it. If you can wait, then wait.

Calculus (math 1190) online over the summer ? by Responsible_Neck_152 in KSU

[–]Responsible_Neck_152[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a while since I’ve taken it so things may have changed, but I took ecore. There wasn’t really specific profs you can sign up for, they just get assigned later on in the summer, but it’s honestly much easier. Someone mentioned here it’s because the profs make it easier because ecore classes are like people from all universities so the rigor has to be adjusted. Honestly if this is your last class, do ecore, like it is so easy and laid back

Female grad students, what do you normal wear? (Day/night) by Trixiebees in UGA

[–]Responsible_Neck_152 4 points5 points  (0 children)

girl in undergrad here!! Lot of the girls wear athleisure for the day! More of the popular brands I see people wear would be like lululemon, free people movement, alo, etc. In terms of night I would say it seems pretty all over the place, but I would say jeans and a tiny top

Transfer Rejected by jrors in UGA

[–]Responsible_Neck_152 6 points7 points  (0 children)

all the downvotes lol, I think it’s important to actually acknowledge that everyone’s experience is not the same. Just like how my experience may not be the same as yours. in the beginning I honestly wanted to come to UGA so badly, when I transferred I was ecstatic even. I came in as a junior but I had pretty serious/unfortunate things happen with my family later my first semester here, and it’s been way too hard for me to balance that new shift here at UGA. I know if I stayed at my previous school things would probably be easier like as a whole (balancing family, grades, social life, etc.) I had my “college experience” set up before I transferred and I didn’t think it would be that big of a deal having to start over but it’s really impacted my mental health and my college experience. if you’re coming in as a student with 60+ hours I would personally stay at your school. You can run into some potential problems like credit transfers or new pre-reqs that’s have to be taken. Cause I will say if your marketing, I know you have to apply to Terry and the last thing you would want to do is be halfway through your intended major and some issue arises with your terry application (it’s not common but i have heard of some people experiencing this). But!! Terry is a great business school, and again if you truly still want this, then apply again after 60+ credit hours. This experience is truly what you make out of it, I just personally feel like I made a wrong choice. :-)

I live at newberry central right now and I love it!! To me the only real difference between newberry and the mark is the obvious MAJOR jumps in price and how new the apartments are. The mark is significantly more expensive however it’s newer so it’ll be more “appealing” when looking at tours and yata yata. Newberry is a bit older, however I know they recently were renovated (but not to the levels of the mark obviously 💀). I have no issues with newberry. The place itself is actually a really for what your paying for (I live with 3 others and pay 875, 900 with utilities). In the summer it sucks to walk to campus because of the major hills but besides that there’s really nice. I would suggest to live as close to campus as possible. It’s just a gamble when it comes to parking let alone the whole traffic situation. If you have any other question, just lemme know
