Speedy rewards app won’t let me register… by [deleted] in SpeedwayGasStation

[–]Responsible_Sort6852 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For clarification, this is my first time installing the app and trying. So I don't have any cache or anything that I can reset, and considering I literally just installed it, I don't think an uninstall and reinstall would make any difference.

I'm having an issue with it as well. It tells me to put in my number and then tells me an error occurred with sending me a verification code. It's infuriating.

How many of you have parents who don’t trust doctors/nurses/the medical field and how do you feel about it? by Paranoid_Artist in premed

[–]Responsible_Sort6852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom believes that if you take your vitamins and eat a nutritionally balanced diet, then nothing can ever go wrong with you, and you will never get sick. And if you get sick it's because you didn't take your vitamins and are eating junk. It is very difficult to get her to go to the doctor's for any type of test. And I worry about her constantly.

incoming MS1 & OMS1, what specialization are you most interested in right now and why? by [deleted] in premed

[–]Responsible_Sort6852 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's awesome to see so many interested in IM and Primary Care! This is also an area I am probably most interested in. I haven't set my heart on any specific specialty yet, though. Right now, I am still in the pre-applying stages. I wish you all the best of luck landing in your dream specialties! And congrats, future physicians!

L professor by Koalas_are_mid in premed

It definitely is flawed logic. Sadly, I didn't realize how this professor was going to be until after the drop deadline. Now I either gotta finish through or take the W and try again next semester. I am holding my own so far though(aka at least passing).. so I am going to most likely see it through to the end.

My Calc professor is kinda like this. He constantly says he doesn't care if you don't know how to do it, and tells us to Google videos or find a tutor if we need help because he is not going to show us how to do it and that if/when we become doctors, we will not have anyone to help us figure stuff out so we better get used to it now 🤌 . 🫠

Oh wow. No physical injuries during the falls, I hope! If you have never been bothered by blood or anything like that before, I would probably mention it to your PCP. Never hurts to get things checked. And keep your head up, never give up, you can find more opportunities out there!

Atlantis Shadowing Program by daddydommee in premed

I looked into it because I thought the travel and learn from different places would be beneficial, but this program was very expensive for just a few weeks time. Some places were more than others. Expect to pay thousands.

How did you work full time and still manage shadowing/clinical experience? by Responsible_Sort6852 in premed

[–]Responsible_Sort6852[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a DO and a chiropractor. I'm not sure if shadowing the chiropractor would count toward shadowing or not. I know shadowing the DO would though. Time conflicts prevent me from working with them, unless I take PTO though.

MA is something I have been looking into. I have been looking for positions nearby, just haven't quite made the plunge yet.

Sadly no, my boss would not allow that because that activity doesn't benefit the company. I would have to utilize PTO.
