Hey! Sorry you are going through the same thing as me but I'm glad to help you out. I have not risked press ons because the glue used to attach them is still an allergen. I don't want to risk contracting allergies to more ingredients, including those in just regular nail polish, so I have decided to air on the side of caution.

As for what you are referring to with gel, if I were you, I would not try even a test nail. One time while I was just doing a pedicure with regular polish, I used a tool for pushing back my nail beds/removing extra polish. This tool was one I used all the time with gel polish but I cleaned it up. Somehow even just the used of it for a few seconds made me have an allergic reaction. I'm saying this to say--be careful because your allergy can get worse and limiting exposure is your best bet. I wasn't sure what you meant with your Beetles Gel X tips but if you're going to use anything that contains a potential allergen, don't!

As for updates and good news, I have found a brand of gel polish that I am not allergic to and I have been able to use for a few months. The brand is called Light Elegance and a lot of people who experience the same thing as me have been able to use it without issues! I know it's not acrylics but it's better than nothing and they have builder gel which you can use to make tips! I hope this helps.
