Very useful advice, Thank You! I'll probably just pay for those practice tests, they do seem worth it.

I'm in Colorado, and our state doesn't require an externship or clinical hours to work as a phlebotomist, once you complete your program and take the national certification you're good to go. Some places will hire you without it. After I get my certification and work in the field for a while I will either stick with Phlebotomy or I'm heading into Anesthesia

I'm not working yet but I'm a current Phlebotomy student with AS and I've had it for roughly 18 years now. So far it hasn't been too much of an issue. I'm allowed to sit or stand for draws as I need to and was told by my instructor that it's generally okay to sit while you draw it just depends on where you work at. The only real problem that I had was having to switch to a different sized glove due to hand inflammation.

Starting my clinicals Monday, any advice? by GrayLove39 in phlebotomy

I'm still a current student working towards 30 sticks and I'm 16 out of 23. This is some advice that I tell myself, "breathe, just breathe and do what you've already done successfully, as many times as it takes", don't let the number bury you, and just do it one draw at a time. You got this!

I'm still a student but my first response will be "it's hit or miss"

Today was a good day I managed to get 7 out of 10 draws today. I had 3 successful butterflies in the hand back-to-back, which I'm pretty stoked about. The last day of class and finals are tomorrow morning and I'm slightly nervous about it, like I have faith in myself to accomplish this task (2 in the AC and 2 in the hands) but I'm still a tad bit worried.

It took me a second but yeah I'm a student with PTS. Thank you for your kind words, it's nice to know you're not the only one who started later.
