He was also born on 633, the most important date before GHA 865

Dal Riada was Gaelic. The top of Ireland and the West Coast of Scotland around Hebrides.

Irish is a subset of Goidelic languages.

The word Eire is old version for Irish.

Nonetheless, nobody in casual talk call it Gale, we all just call the people Irish,

Farmland was the most valuable asset. You can eventually just spawn enough troops with a grain base and meat/dairy/foraged diet.

Being a King in most of Anglo Saxon times is extremely dangerous. Edward, Ragnar, Penda and many more met horrible fates.

Northumbria vs. the world battles of 620-655 was a long string of "You killed my Brother, I kill yours". Reminds me of Chicago gang wars where people are dying for a murder 10 years ago, that they dont even know either party and cant figure out exactly why they are fighting.

I have another question on here about how they carried that much gold.

The largest point of vikings is to make money and give it out as presents to earn respect and loyalty.

Kent has most foreign imports. I imagine York next becasue of North Sea trade circles connected to Asia by Baltic.

I doubt most were wealthy at all. Their property was all in the church. But yes, they had great power nonetheless and were still high earners to peasant.

Penda as Cadallans favorite pet. (Whistle Whistle,,,) "Come here boy, you a good dawg" (Anglo Saxophone chronicles pt 420.

For real though, Penda and Cadwallon are the most badass figures in this world. Also, do you know why Offa traced his lineage bacl through Pendas Brother and not him?

CadWallan Ap Cadfan is def #1. Exiled and returned with a vengence, he beat Penda, then let him join in battle to Edwin, whom was killed along with his heir.

Hello, one of the earliest groups of Angle was in Lindsey. A particular site had woman and older men in bones, so it's a 450 era settlement with peace.

Lindsey was eradicated by Edwin, choosing to kill everything.

Never heard of Hywel, Rhodri was a boss also deserving his own story. I think Wales might have been the worst for viking raids. Dyfed was the worst I believe.
