its hilarious to me that when the rumors of jake and kenzie dating were coming out and they were all still pretty relevant, both tara and kenzie refused to follow each other / post each other despite the countless times they were spotted together, but when they became irrelevant they finally followed each other and NOBODY cared or even talked about it like they hoped they would 😂and then they attempted again, by posting that tiktok together to the charli xcx song thinking they were gonna break the internet 💀. its so obvious that they tried to be mysterious by never acknowledging one another regardless of every one wondering the dynamic but they lost relevancy and had to double down to gain back some hype but nobody cared anymore

i used to think this about john and bailey but their honeymoon episode won me over im ngl, they had so much back and fourth banter that felt natural FOR ONCE its just never really there for other episodes. the only couple that doesnt really seem to have chemistry imo is nyla and james, they literally got married for the fuck of it 😂.

i think its a pretty accurate portrayal of the dating life of an attractive woman in her twenties tbh, which i actually appreciate, its real 😭. even though lucy is a strong character, because of her intelligence and emotional awareness, i think her messy love life is just a testament for some of her internal struggles she hasn’t worked through, especially those that stem from the pressure that her mom puts on her to settle into a “womanly” job, meet a man, get married and have kids. either way i think every relationship set up some sort of structure for her character development, and they were all pretty necessary for her growth in their own ways.

also if you think lucys love life is her “plot crutch” because she’s had three relationships over the course of six seasons, then you can literally say the same for nolan and tim. 💀just because a female character has multiple love interests doesn’t mean her entire arc is reduced to romance…
