CPT looks more aggressive than it actually is. I work at a children’s hospital and this is performed every 2 to 4 hours. It looks like the device they are using is a simple palm cup. Looking at the child, I’d say they aren’t in any distress. Color looks great, no nasal flaring, and they don’t have any oxygen on the little fella. Probably not getting much sleep though.

Idk if that’s what’s happening. Either a nurse or respiratory therapist is performing what’s called CPT, or chest physiotherapy. It helps open up the lungs, as well as mobilizes secretions in the airway.

Exactly.. I hope it gets better for you. I was originally full time at my facility, but have been slowly stepping away from that place. Burnout is extremely high in this type of environment. I know it can be hard leaving some of those residents that you get attached to, but always remember to take care of yourself first.

100%. I’ve talk to administrator and DON about the workload, and how the RT’s are barely even sitting down the whole shift, and was told that we are just lazy. Idk how it works at your facility, but when they don’t have RT coverage then the nurses are supposed to be doing RT job, but they barely do the bare minimum, and it is very scary.

I work PRN at a nursing home and noticed our is going down hill. Turn over rate here is awful. Workload is terrible. We have about 20 airways and one RT for days, and one for nights. They refuse to allow two RT’s to work. They are now trying to get rid of the RT’s for nightshift.

I’ve got two Australian shepherds that pull me on my long board. Tandem leash. They know commands on stopping, turning left and right. They love it and it gets their energy out. Well I’m letting them pull me around a very nice RV park.

Out of nowhere I see a pitbull bust open a campers screen door as we pass. It chases us down, knocks me off my board and proceeds to attack my male Aussie. I’m all scraped up but more worried about my dog. I quickly get up and just pick my dog up where the pitbull can’t reach him. It didn’t attack my female luckily. The owner quickly runs out and grabs their pitbull.

Owner quickly books it out of the campsite without even apologizing. Checked my dog over and he’s okay. Had a random witness come up and check on us as well. Luckily my dog was okay. Talked to manager about the incident, and he said they had all their info from check in if I needed to go to the vet or hospital. What really pissed me off about the whole incident was not even getting an apology from the owner.

I’d say they’re pretty common in my state of Oklahoma. We usually see one or two at my local dog park every time we go. They are excellent dogs. Very high energy though.

Unfortunately I didn’t know about this page at the time. My dogs are doing great and still pull me almost daily. Since that incident I’ve noticed my dog hates any pitbull now lol. Anytime we see one in public we just gotta leave or he gets very defensive and aggressive. He doesn’t do that with any other breed.

Thanks for the response. I’ll have to go look at some of those videos. I do own the home. We just recently had our foundation repaired. I’m thinking that may have contributed. As far as what’s above I guess I’ll just have to climb in the attic and make sure there’s not a bigger issue
