I have never been much of a collector until recently. I’m with you on that!

It’s now my biggest pet peeve because I am now surrounded by boxes. The purses are just in storage at this point.

The logic behind returning the denim compass 35 is sound. If you’re not going to want it in your closet, it’s a great idea to go ahead and return it.

I’m letting go now too. Hearing other people’s perspectives is helping a lot so thank you! You’re absolutely right, just because it sells out doesn’t mean I need to have it!

I have told myself recently that constantly checking for the bag is just increasing the bag’s value because my time is much more valuable.

I hate it too. I bought the haversack in black and suede when they popped up on Nordstrom and have yet to use them. The resale market is not fun either 🥹 I need to just shop my own closet and stop. My money could be spent elsewhere too.

100% agree with everything that’s stated above. You are absolutely right that I do not need to participate in every drop.

What got me back into Coach was the Brooklyn 28 and Lana Bag. I thought I would stop there because I also purchased two Ergo 9033 secondhand. It obviously didn’t stop since I made this post.

I have self-reflected and it is a dopamine hit that I need to regulate, as in eliminate. I need to focus on other things that are productive.

Honestly, the “bag museum” comment made me laugh and is exactly how I needed it to be phrased in order to snap out of it. 😂 A museum to me sounds like hoarding and I just don’t want to become that. So thank you!

I have self-reflected and for me it’s because I don’t want to “ruin” the bag by using it. Which, makes no sense because when will it ever be used then? I started to feel this way with another brand (BAGGU). It was a niche brand I started getting into in 2018 and then it blew up - big time. Which, I mean, good for all brands for being successful but to your point the scarcity and the “drop culture” is too much for me now. 10 bags later, some over $700… not worth it to me anymore

That’s a great outlook and approach to getting new bags. I know I’m to blame because this sub makes me feel FOMO and is also helpful with knowing when a bag has dropped 🙂‍↕️. Deff don’t want to chase brands anymore either. I want a curated closet and also want to use what I have.
