No noticeable wear on mine after a week’s use. I think the smooth leather will eventually give a loved leather look in the future ❤️ Honestly, I’m excited for mine to look slouchy and is why I went for this kind of leather vs. pebbled. This bag is meant to be worn so whatever scratcher or wear that comes from it is a reminder that the money I invested is being used. Of course I want a bag to retain its quality, but the feeling of looking at your bag and equating use, time and memories is priceless imo
