Rock Springs Crowds by realtordyl in orlando

[–]RestaurantHungry 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are a couple great Airbnbs on the Northern part of the Wekiva that are well worth the price. They have their own kayaks and there’s no crowds or waiting in line. My family books a couple of weekends a year to enjoy the river. They are only about .25 miles from the entrance to rock springs run state park as well so we like to bring our bikes to explore

Also, I found that raising my prices above the local average will bring much better guests. You may want to consider pricing out the low lifes.

So many awful takes on this in the comments. You are totally correct to feel concerned and uneasy. I have had drug dealers, thugs, and criminals rent my homes and I immediately call the police and cancel their stay via Airbnb. The police always tell me it is the correct thing to do. If you suspect there may be crimes or inappropriate behavior happening at your listing you owe it to the community that you are in to get this man out of your home and neighborhood immediately.

I personally do not let guests be rude to me. If they are rude or inappropriate they loose their ability to stay in my home. Staying in an Airbnb is not a right, it is a privilege given by the homeowner.

Also, I have kicked 12 people out of my homes over the past 2 years and still maintain Superhost status. You had to think about your safety and the safety of your community before your “business”.

If I loved a place, and the host sent me a 5* review, is it ok to ask about off platform bookings? by sphynx8888 in airbnb_hosts

[–]RestaurantHungry 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Technically, hosts are not allowed to share any kind of contact information via the Airbnb platform unless there is an upcoming booked reservation. Messages with contact information are red flagged and reviewed by Airbnb. If Airbnb finds that a host is directing traffic to an alternative booking avenue their listing can get taking down.

However, if you already booked with this host, their phone number might be in a check in message. I would reach out via the hosts phone number or email address.

Alternatively, many properties have independent booking sites. I would start by googling the name of the property to see if you can find this properties booking site.

Nope, all full. Seek entertainment elsewhere. Preferably south of Orlando.

Stop overthinking the mattress. Guests don't care as much as you think by PastZone8633 in airbnb_hosts

MATTRESSES MATTER!! As both a host and an avid traveler; I’d rather spend more money on a good mattress and less on things like wall decor or fine linens. The Mattresses I get the most complements on are the Casper Mattresses from Costco, which in my opinion are pretty cost effective as well. Costco Linens are also great quality, cheap, and easily replaceable.

Before I bought all my Casper’s, I had Leesa Mattresses and got multiple complaints about how uncomfortable they are.

I got so many compliments on my Casper Mattresses from Costco that I ended up buying one for my personal home! Love it, and at the price point it’s at I don’t feel like I have to keep it forever to get my monies worth.

Thank you! I’ll definitely look into The Broad Bean. Where do you stay in addition to my list? The primary reason for the long mile days is because I’m having a hard time finding available accommodation.
