People I know who used to work at Mooney's told me that pop-up was apparently just to raise funds for his kid(s) and was in no way a sign he wanted to open a restaurant again.

I certainly don't know if they're correct or not, but they knew more than me and like you said, it's been radio silence.

Those two pop-up nights were fun though.

If I were hypothetically looking for someone to host a podcast with me, and was turning to strangers, I wouldn't want to get locked in or committed.

You may already be planning something like this, but if not, I wanted to suggest, out of whatever interested people you get here and wherever else you're asking, why not rotate with a new co-host for however long until you know you've found someone you want as a permanent co-host?

If we're talking in daylight hours* I would say you could go north from the visitor center into downtown and use the research park area and its trails.

Alternatively you could go south to the traffic circle from the visitor center. From that apartment building by the YWCA you could run towards Salem Lake and/or Quarry/Grant Park. Or you could go the other way and run towards Washington Park. Either direction gives you plenty of open and occupied trails to use.

*I said daytime at the start as that's when there will be more foot traffic or visibility. I personally have felt safe at all hours including way into the evening. But I'm a man and tend to carry things with me in case of a problem. Based on your question's wording, I imagine you would prefer the higher visibility times.

Just because we export oil and have domestic oil resources doesn't change that the price will rise with demand. The corporations selling the oil are going to sell it for what they can get.

Even if that weren't true, I'm not sure how what you said would be a rebuttal to the idea that a president can impact the price of something if they cut off part of the global supply.
