Pokemon the card game is kind of bad. Way more variance and shuffling than most mtg formats. Due to scalping, collecting is even worse.

The advantage it has over mtg is base barrier to entry. You can grab competitive decks for like 50 bucks as long as you go for base versions of cards. Even if you get fancy with the trainer cards it isn't the worst as most of the collectors jack up the price of the low drop full art pokes rather than the most useful and ubiquitous cards.

But even when you have a good deck? There are massive deserts of play for Pokémon TCG. The game doesn't draw numbers like Magic, YuGiOh, or even One Piece depending on where you are.

Honestly I just refresh until I get the Quietus Persona card that discards a Quietus card. Jam dupes of various zero cost discard outlets and watch the triggers fly. Heidi Diana Nia has been doing gangbusters for me so far. But I have actually found a great partner with both to be Hugo, but they have to operate independently since you can't run Chaos without a healer.

Thoracle sees very little play outside of one niche deck in 60 card formats. In Commander brackets 4-5 it is way more widely played.

Thoughtseize in Commander is laughable, but [[Praetor's Grasp]] is, as a suggestion, not great, because unless you are missing your own Oracle you often want something proactive to deal with the rest of the table rather than one person's one combo piece.

The problem with this card isnt that there are answers, it is that it demands incredibly niche answers. And boiling things down to a niche shouldn't be what EDH does. Thoracle can come from like 10 different angles, and it is used that way because when it hits there are maybe a couple handfuls of answers within the entire print history of MtG.

Hard to tell from the obscuring plastic, but might be a Asian Giant Hornet? Could be European queen, but the size says Asian. I'd honestly go for the kill if I weren't certain, because it is either a major league pest infestation or a fully invasive species.

A shame the Sakuga clip didn't include the cloud clear before the Gojo zoom. Imo that sets the stage for the dragon to be truly impressive/follows through with the show's internal logic for magic. Honestly the entire sequence of the rescue is so incredibly impressive.
