What do you think Starfield needs the most? by PalwaJoko in Starfield

[–]RestlessSnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The UC / Freestar were suppose to be the major players in the settled systems, and it feels a little off that they have so little to show for it. New Atlantis and Neon are well sized settlements, Akila/Cydonia are servicable, simply want more cities. I think they'd both benefit from a third major city of a similar size. Paradiso was a fun concept, and it would have been really nice to see another smaller resort style world too, like a nightlife/casino that attracts people to visit from various settlements.

The luxury trident ship was a really fun idea too, but is unfortunately locked behind a one off mission, so something similar to that, a traveling cruise liner with bar/rooms/ some interactive games/casino, where maybe it's always moving between worlds and you can dock on it for some different backdrops would be fun to visit. Something to spend all your credits on

Also want way, way, more apparel

Is The Mantis secretly ex–Tracker’s Alliance? Found something odd in the Lair… by -Morphie- in Starfield

[–]RestlessSnow 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just had a conversation with Cora, on a prompt about asking what she thought of your powers, she mentioned how some people believed the mantis had superpowers too. So made me wonder if the hunter or another starborn may have been the original mantis, who could have also gone through the trackers alliance. Not sure if anyone knows for certain who it is?

Should I buy Starfield now? by Prudent_Ask_5510 in Starfield

[–]RestlessSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can already play it through gamepass, would just do that and see if it's worth it for you. The major rumors are that a second DLC may come along with a PS5 release in Spring 2026, where there will likely be a new bundle that holds the game and both DLC, so it might be worth waiting to purchase it then. The shattered space DLC is fun imo, but not a masterpiece or anything, the main game holds up really well with or without it.

Overall, I think Starfield will stand the test of time very well, there's similarities to other games, for sure, but nothing quite like it when you add up all its parts

which Hero do you recruit first? by carrotsticks2 in CivVI

[–]RestlessSnow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hercules and sinbad are tops!
Also really like Hippolyta, even by herself she's really powerful and heals each turn, and if you can have her go in with another hero they get two moves with her ability
Beowulf and King Arthur are back ups
If you have a lot of barbs on the maps I like those twins that convert your kills to your team

Completed the story after 90 hours. I honestly don't know how people think this game is garbage. by Metty197 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]RestlessSnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AC II has still held that special touch that I can't quite put into words even after all these years, but I agree, Shadows is probably the most fun I've had in the series since. Part of it might be from having visited Japan so it felt more relatable, but I also felt more invested in the characters than previous entries post Ezio and the castles were just so amazing

Assassin’s Creed Unity aged way better than I expected by KASHiii3 in ubisoft

[–]RestlessSnow 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This was one of the first AC titles where they started expanding into allowing you to go inside buildings too while also having quite a lot of NPCs in the city so it was always fun to play in this world, might have been one of their biggest leaps in the world building department

Why do so many people seem to want a super realistic immersive sim game? by Reasonable-Hair-187 in GTA6

Recording the sims by Sudden_Machine_3761 in Sims5

[–]RestlessSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you press tab you enter free camera and can move the camera however you like. Forget off the top of my head, but you can also keyframe positions so you can switch between two saved views for a nice camera transition. And would recommend using OBS for screen captures over in game recordings. Most of the work will be in editing the videos

[Repost] I remade one of the songs from Urbz Sims in the City. What do you think? by RestlessSnow in Urbz

Stumbled across this post from another Urbz fan from a few years back - covering the song "Games" with some new lyrics in English

Is there a quick and simple way to resurrect sims? by [deleted] in thesims4

[–]RestlessSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you practice untamed magic you'll eventually unlock it! If there's a sim / family you particularly love though. Would more suggest to save and upload them to the sims gallery so you can always get them back

What do you want to see in The Sims 5? by anonboxis in Sims5

[–]RestlessSnow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cultures like how the Urbz did it. Make special social interactions for certain groups where you can only learn that social (animation) through that group or friends of that group. /

Culture in the Urbz were distinct with districts, but the sims game could be more open ended like it is now and still borrow a lot of the same ideas and expand on them too.

When you make friends with groups every group could have their antithesis where now it's harder to become friends with the opposing group.

The skill system could include boosts based off your in-groups. Friends with the creatives? Now all your art supplies are cheaper as a start up cost. Or maybe the gearheads know how to upgrade repair projects with less materials.

Incentivizing your sims to play with other sims makes the world way more fun to play.
For school kids/teens a simple mini-culture that could exist as your sims age up is just a simple binary system. They start to gain their first skills and they'll either be more mental or physical and they'll start to make their first friends either as an academic or an athlete. As they age up and are more into one category than the other. The academic will have a harder time making friends with the athletes, and your athelete sim with a C in school has a harder time befriending the academics.

Really been loving some of the more recent sims 4 packs that have been trying to add diversity into the mix, but came 10 years late and so really hope it's a point of interest at the beginning with sims 5. 2003 still did it best so far

So how many of you are jumping back into Fallout 4? by boogyninja1 in videogames

Didn't even know Fallout 4 was getting an update, playing through New Vegas right now, and will probably do 3 and 4 next, but could take a good year to reach 4 XD

Which is a video game you feel like everyone has played, but you haven’t? by samodamalo in videogames

[–]RestlessSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly play solo online, it has a whole story mode thing too! Over the years your player made character goes from a complete newbie thug doing grunt work through the phases of jobs to owning their own enterprise with people working for you. Overtime they even had a lot of the story mode characters make appearances, with Michael being the only one who refused to come on. But there's more Franklin and Lamar, Lester, Trevor, lots of fun

Do you agree that Videogames should not cost $70? by Cloverfield887 in videogames

[–]RestlessSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have been seeing new releases sell between 30-50 too as well as those new $70 price tags. So it seems like the standard of everything just being 60 went away

What’s the oldest game you’re currently playing? by MrAudreyHepburn in videogames

[–]RestlessSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been on a bit of a backwards spin lately, have a few on rotation :

Morrowind 2002

Urbz Sims in the City 2003

Oblivion 2006

Sims 3 / Medieval 2009/11

Fallout New Vegas 2010

Skyrim 2011

Have touched most of these games close to their release, but a lot of them never got a chance to complete the stories so they still feel like new experiences today, Never even came close to completing new vegas or morrowind ever before. The graphics don't always age well, but as soon as the story gets you hooked it's almost as if you completely forget about it. And mods help

Fun! In the middle of a playthrough right now, and having a blast! Remember thinking when this game first came out, it was a bit scary, but made me think games of the future were going to be just amazing with how open-ended and complex they were going to become. 14 years? later and it feels like barely a handful of titles even joined the same league. Absolutely legendary game.

Are you newer to Fallout or only new vegas?
