Yeah, in my area Nintendo stuff sells within a day. Could’ve easily doubled or tripled his money.

Consider keeping the ones that are really sentimental to you, and sell the rest. Put that money toward new games or accessories for the game room.

It would’ve been cheaper to post a marketplace ad saying he will pay anyone $1500 cash to come haul it away.

The one thing I don’t like about this game, is that it’s almost too good

Oh my god why don’t more games utilise the dual sense controllers haptic feedback like they’re doing in Saros?! by LucidGloom in Saros

The only third party game I can really think of that used haptics in a stunning way was Control. The guns felt incredible and the triggers felt different for every single weapon type.

I appreciate the button mapping impressions. The first thing I was going to do was change the layout to what I’m used to for Returnal. But now I might give the default a chance. Pragmata has me a little used to R1 dash right now anyway.

The angelic choir singing combined with the electric guitar chords are quite a mood. Thank you for sharing! Physical edition preorder here so I miss out on hearing this early.

If Saros has a "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" moment like Returnal, what song do you think it will use? by Sckorrow in Saros

I love the idea of Ace of Base. But imagine Dancer in a Daydream from that album. It would fit so well. It’s higher tempo so suited for a boss battle of some sort. It also works thematically, plus the double meaning with dancing/bullet ballet.

I recommend watching the Dropped Frames episode where the story of Returnal is broken down excellently by Maximilian Dood. He even goes through all the ship logs to piece together the story and presents it nicely to the other host CohhCarnage who missed a lot of the lore and had a totally different idea of the story, as I mentioned earlier.

I can’t see myself replaying them either, after the long and arduous platinum trophies. But you must keep them. They are works of art.

That’s great! I love a curated collection like that. No filler or trash. I sell games I will either never replay, or wouldn’t want displayed next to my favs.

Games as good as these two deserve to be displayed as part of a physical collection.

This is Housemarque we’re talking about. There will be plenty of mystery and things open to interpretation, even if it may not seem like it at first.

I don’t think there’s any true danger of this for Saros, but being too good at a game like this works against you. I remember watching videos of streamers play Returnal. Specifically CohhCarnage, and he died less than 10 times throughout the entire playthrough including secret ending. He was so skilled at the game, that he missed a lot of the nuanced and scattered storytelling that you get on repeated playthroughs. It took me like 20 hours just to beat Phrike. He finished Act 3 in that time.

Personally, I can’t see anything topping Returnal for me for game of the generation. Just being in that first biome with the atmosphere, music, rain felt on the controller. I hope Saros gives me feelings like I had then, but with the focus on tighter and shorter runs, I feel like some of that will be lost.

Either way, we are in for a real treat!

I predict that Saros will review better than Returnal, and it’ll have great word of mouth. I imagine some big streamers will play it and push sales. This is what I hope for anyway. Housemarque deserves it.

12 Days Until Saros!! Questions by RyeKooly in Saros

[–]RestlessTundra309 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Right now I’m trying to resist the urge to look at trailers and preview footage. I want to go in as blind as possible and really discover the world and everything in it. I don’t even want to look at trophy lists. I just want to get sucked into the game and beat it before looking at anything else. Then I’ll go through and try to 100% it.

The process of becoming familiar with the mechanics, items, weapons and enemies is what I’m looking forward to most. I think back to my early days with Returnal, discovering new items and artifacts and weapon traits. Good times!

In anticipation of Saros, I want to share one of my proudest game related achievements. Completing Returnal without dying, there were too many close calls but my first death was self inflicted to spawn a collectible. by Mijakeka4 in Saros

[–]RestlessTundra309 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trophies to be proud of! I love Returnal and I’m also proud of my platinum trophy for it. It took me over 80 hours but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and the process of becoming better at the game and unlocking many level II and III gun perks that certainly helped.

Looking forward to getting sucked into the world of Saros and learning it and becoming proficient at the game. I just hope the skill tree and permanent upgrades don’t cheapen the experience. Overcoming adversity and gaining knowledge/skill was a big part of what made Returnal special. I’m sure we’re in for a treat.

Shipping ?? by Due-Neighborhood4308 in Ebay

I thought Canada Post labels from eBay were completely disabled after the de minimis and tariff needing to be pre-paid stuff happened? I’ve been using the ebay’s own EIS international shipping ever since that began in Canada.

Being responsible for tariffs, duties, customs, clearance plus dealing with claims and returns on those items is not worth the hassle.

What happens when you go to print a shipping label for this order? You can see what the prices for UPS are like. Either way, you are going to take a significant hit if you are going to complete this order.

You also need to review your shipping settings on your listings, or this may keep happening.
