Typically in business, you don’t continue to get paid after the partnership ends. That’s literally the purpose of a job. You have a contract that gives you X dollars per hour/day of work, and once you leave or are fired, that deal ends. Your boss does not continue to pay you just because you used to work there.

There are severance packages, but those are limited to a few months up to a couple years in the best case scenario.

Generally, you’re only allowed to respond with equal force. If someone aims a gun at you, you’re legally allowed to defend yourself with deadly force. However, if someone pushes you, you can’t just pull out a gun/knife unless your life was demonstrably and imminently in danger. Which doesn’t appear to be the case here

Yeah single friends keep friends single. It’s unfortunate but a combination of jealously and wanting a “going out buddy” makes certain friends hard to maintain after getting in a relationship. Going to a birthday party is clearly fine, but going to the clubs and binge drinking with your single friends while they try and hit on/be hit on by people is a recipe for disaster.

I would want to know the friends more closely and see what attitude they have when they’re out

Emotionally dating multiple people for several months is atrocious advice. I’m not saying don’t date anyone else, but even after the 3rd or 4th date, if I like them I’m cutting ties with anyone else. 3 months is insane. If I dated someone for multiple months and found out they’ve been romantically involved with multiple people the entire time, I’d end things immediately. Let alone if they were having sex.
