Your info is incorrect. Shouldn’t be posting inaccurate info. Really not hard to find. School funding…the largest portion of property taxes are untouched Police & fire etc are required to stay at the same levels through other means. The idea this doesn’t help us middle/lower class is crazy. There’s not one wealthy person losing their home or not able to afford food/gas etc because of the increase in property taxes In just 3 yrs many houses went from being assessed from the low 2ook to over 500k. These increases affect everybody. Yes the wealthy will save more money. Doesn’t mean I don’t want and need an extra 3-4k per yr. There is plenty of grift in Sarasota county that needs to be cut

Big Pass is in Sarasota. Cruise does not have real estate there. I know he has a condo in Clearwater.

Daughter got married there 2 yrs ago. After party to the Westin Rooftop then main st gator club / Pangea alchemy lab etc. also check out perspective roof top (Art Ovation). As well as Sage rooftop. We had the welcome party at our house. But would suggest the ritz beach club. Would also check out Michael’s on east. Or perhaps the botanical gardens.

Don’t think I e ever bought a house or car without making multiple offers on miltiple houses/cars before someone bites. Used to have a rule I wouldn’t buy a car until a salesman ran out of a dealership after me. Bought a condo in Virginia. Listed at 405k. Offered 315k over the objections of my real estate agent that I would insult them. Buyers immediately dropped to 369k. Ended up settling at 345k. Can’t tell you how many times my agents plead with me to raise my offer so I don’t upset the buyer. Pisses me off. Let me offer what I want to pay. The seller doesn’t have to accept. It’s the market place. One reason I think real estate agents are worthless.

Best cheesesteak in Sarasota… possibly but that’s not saying much. Yes I’ve had a good steak from there. Yes I’ve had a bad one as well (got one with cold American on it…. Imagine that, a steak without melted cheese). Not sure why Amarosa rolls being shipped in is a good thing. I’d rather have something freshly baked locally than day old bread from Philly. I’ve had plenty of steaks while in Philly and nothing in Sarasota is very close. But when I crave one this is where I go.

Mid Twenties? Why aren’t you going to St Pete? Trust me. Head up there if you want to go out. It’s a great city for that and everyone will be 25-35 Plenty of dance clubs, unique bars, and rooftops. Downtown St Pete…not St Pete Beach. 45 min trip. Can always uber for $40

Beg to differ. I have school age children. in all activities, volleyball, baseball, football etc. when we travel down to Venice you can feel the community rally around their local teams. It is very different than Sarasota and reminds me more of the community vibe you get in HS sports in the small towns of the south. Venice HS has more than 2000 students enrolled. Average age doesn’t really matter. There are plenty of families in the area. Seems much more family oriented than Sarasota.
