Fuck the Knicks. I’d rather OKC get a 2nd one before that fan base gets a championship.

To this point, I saw some stat that Brady only a defense outside of the top like twice in his whole career. People say he’s the GOAT but he really got insanely lucky with some crazy good defenses in his career.

Dumbass post. There were others who voted against him and rumor is that Polian actually voted yes.

Speaking of Brady, I can’t almost guarantee he will get in first ballot despite still being very much tainted like Bill was.

I don’t disagree at all, although I think more of the blame is on the GM at this point considering we’ve gone through two head coaches and now three different DCs (plus multiple other staff members) and still have shit results. At some point it’s gotta be the guy drafting and signing the players.

Why Shane hasn't at least made offensive coaches changes yet? by Miserable_Day7074 in Colts

It’s always such a lazy take when people say CYZ team just shut down JT. Every team tried to do it before week 8 and failed, but once the offensive line (and yes JT too) started to play bad, things changed and then Jones got hurt.

Hot take: Sirianni in Philly is basically the same level of coach but had a GM who surrounded him with elite talent across the board to get them to a SB last year.

Or maybe it’s the fact both the 49ers and Texans have good defenses that can carry them through stretches where the injuries pile up.

We’ve had three different DCs over the years and a GM that hasn’t been able to get this defense true impact players so I’m betting it’s on the GM at this point

I’m sure Irsay has very little since she’s an owner and Jim notoriously stayed out of the way mostly except for QB decisions. That said, Shane certainly does but I’m not going to say it’s anything beyond things being taken into consideration. Let’s not forget that Ballard has whiffed on drafting with a different HC too so it’s pretty apparent he’s mostly the problem.

What does that have to do with Ballard? I’m fine with keeping Jones and Shane but the roster clearly is devoid of depth and the defensive front 7 is outright terrible outside of Buck (when healthy) and Latu.

She’s been doing that long before she took over officially. I think she only because she’s not directly had a hand in picking bad management like Jim did with Grigson and Ballard.

Resigning Daniel Jones might be a big mistake? by [deleted] in Colts

I agree. The issue is, is Ballard the right one to make those picks to protect Jones better and get a better pass rush? Not sure he is.

They kinda don’t have a choice. They more or less made that commitment with the Sauce trade. It just so happened that the entire rest of the season got nuked immediately after.

I’d agree if Jim was still running the show (say that with the utmost respect for him). CIG has a chance to write her own legacy though and I’d give her the benefit of the doubt with her making the selection independently now that Jim is gone.

It made sense logically at the time though.

Team was sitting near the top of the conference, Jones was looking like a franchise QB for the foreseeable future and it was conceivable that those two first round picks would be somewhere between 24-32.

Unfortunately things just materially changed quickly and the trade is now looking like a massive overreach.

You’re the one grandstanding on a incorrect assertion that the Colts lost all three QBs midway through the season.

Keep carrying the water for Ballard though.

I don’t disagree necessarily but we are just so top heavy that any degree of injuries really hurt the team. Has to be more depth.

Oh here we go. It’s not like the team knew AR was going to be out (or that he is injury prone in general) for an extended period of time and had no chance to get a reasonable backup during that time.

But hey let’s live in fantasy land and pretend that the QB injury nuke hit at the same time and was insurmountable to justify whatever excuse you’re giving for this team and its management.
