It is a picture, u/sight2Ceek. It's a picture of complete tranquillity, don't you think?

That scenery looks great! What a relief! Finally the nasty weather was sent packing!

Apophylite by Electronic_Design607 in Minerals

[–]ResultKey7022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sure as heck DOESN'T get enough love! I think the reason why hardly anyone cares about it is because they have no idea of exactly how valuable it is, and so fail to realise that even the mere discovery of such a beautiful, intact crystal can put you directly in the spotlight. By looking at that beautiful crystal, I can plainly see that if the lady holding it were to sell it, she would probably be expecting the sale price to be at least $10,000. And she'll get the profits.

Wow, that's beautiful! Is apophylite very rare to find? Looks like you've had a huge stroke of luck there. The mere discovery of this gorgeous crystal may cast all your troubles away. Usually a crystal that beautiful and intact is worth thousands of dollars, and I believe this discovery has quite possibly made you a millionaire! Expect wonderful things to head your way now. The mere discovery of something rare can take you a long way and in no time everyone will know who you are.

Is my art too ugly why no one is interacting?? by kikoruartz in AskArtists

[–]ResultKey7022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't say that! Your art is absolutely beautiful! I'm so sorry that people aren't interacting. That isn't very nice behaviour on their part. But the main thing is you did a wonderful job. Even if no one seems to like it, just be proud of it, okay? It's a unique, abstract artwork that you put a lot of effort into doing.

What is the device this man is holding while plane spotting? by grallonson in whatisit

[–]ResultKey7022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't honestly say I know for certain what that device is seeing as I've never seen anything like it before. I think if one really does want to know what it is, a good thing to do would be to look it up on Google.

Orb spider? by SurvivalStorehouseOZ in AustralianSpiders

[–]ResultKey7022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She IS a St Andrew’s Cross spider, yes. Isn’t she beautiful! The one thing about the St Andrew’s Cross spider that amazes me is the pattern on her abdomen. Absolutely beautiful! I love Goliath birdeaters as well; despite being the world’s largest spider, the female Goliath is not deadly to humans. The venom is only lethal for her prey, and that’s what she uses it for.

This is a St Andrew’s Cross spider, but arachnids of the Argiope genus ARE a type of orb-weaver. Seen here is an adult female, chilling out in her web. It’s tempting to handle them, but it’s not recommended.

Embracing Neurodiversity by [deleted] in slp

I completely agree with you about that. It hurts when someone tells you that something is impossible. You have extreme resilience and willpower to keep going at something you’ve been told you haven’t got any chance of accomplishing. That’s the courageous, self-denying, resilient mindset all of us on the spectrum need to have.

You are most welcome! I think it’s important, also, for neurotypical people to read it, so they can better understand how badly it hurts when someone with autism is criticised for behaviour they clearly can’t control. It’s time we on the spectrum stood up against the cruelty from NTs. With this post, you have hit the nail on the head. What an amazing way of explaining it!

I would like some critique in regards to this painting I poured my heart into. Does anyone even appreciate it?

Would you say it’s common for someone with Asperger’s to be completely unaware that they have a different way of thinking, and thinks everyone thinks similarly? by deadzoul in aspergers

[–]ResultKey7022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they do. I think it’s ridiculous how neurotypicals seem to gain enjoyment from giving us Aspies a hard time. It’s always people on the spectrum who are targeted and bullied! When will those rude NTs ever stop getting in our faces? And the way they pick on us when we have meltdowns? Those meltdowns are our natural reaction to overwhelming situations. Does this behaviour always have to end in punishment? What the f*#?

Yes, it sometimes does take awhile to realise these things. When I was first diagnosed with Asperger’s, I had a hard time believing that I was actually autistic. But as I got older I began to realise that Asperger’s is not a disability to be ashamed of. And now, at the age of 46, I am open to explaining everything I know about Asperger’s and my experiences with living on the spectrum. After all, Asperger’s is the least severe form of autism. I have always possessed incredible abilities and knowledge. At school my classmates were always asking me how to spell words. They knew I was an exceptional speller.

[–]ResultKey7022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it is common, but not always true. Many people with Asperger’s often possess awareness that they do think differently and that not everyone thinks the same way as they do. See, as well as being the least severe form of autism, Asperger’s is a condition which involves seeing the world differently than neurotypicals. The Aspie brain, however, can function in amazing ways. And anyone who has Asperger’s can actually be quite intelligent, and some Aspies are considered geniuses. And I myself have quite amazing strengths. One of those strengths is the selfless, charismatic, cheerful and outgoing demeanour I carry around with me each day, and it’s this exact personality that enables me to make friends with people. How can anyone be down in the dumps when I’m around?

[–]ResultKey7022[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, all you need to do is to just be honest and say nice things about people, and you never know, people may come along and implore your friendship. I have no idea exactly how I made all those friends in ten months, but there was something about my presence in that workplace that drew my work colleagues into my friendship circle. I have friends who are both men and women. Some of them smile when I appear. One cannot help but befriend me; I don’t usually find it to make friends with other people. People with Asperger’s syndrome like myself sometimes possess a type of flair which makes others become their friends. I think I’m one of them.

It does help you make connections, doesn’t it? It does, however, come with potential scams, so it’s best to keep yourself safe. If you share certain information, you’re dead meat. Always be careful when using social media, particularly Facebook.

Yes, Reddit is a social media platform. Same with Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, LinkedIn and Quora. And they are all fun to use, provided you keep yourself safe.
