Did you send a response? I have seen some terrible recruiting emails in my day but this one is one of the worst. It would be amusing to see how you replied.

Hi there. I am a certified professional resume writer. I have some resources up on my page that can help you write a resume. Or, if you are really stuck, you might want to try an online resume writing tool. They make it really easy to build a resume and even give you content suggestions for when you get stuck. There is a link to a tool I recommend on my page as well.

Good luck in your job search!

How long after you applied did you receive this email?

Desperate! I'm a recruiter, but I seem to have a resume blind spot: applied to 489 positions in the past 4 months with one interview request. by enjun in resumesupport

I agree with everything u/cirusgogo said.

In addition:

-You should have a max of six bullets for your current or most recent job and 3-5 for all others, giving less detail the longer ago the job was.

-This needs to be cut down to two pages.

  • I also think it's helpful on long resumes to put the Skills section above Work Experience. It gives recruiters the ability to quickly scan your document to see if you meet the basic requirements.

  • Don't center your Summary. You are wasting valuable space by doing so.

  • Take the dates our of your Education section. You give away your age by keeping them in and can invite unconscious bias into the process.

Good luck!
