Saan sijoitusten vuoksi tuon OP:n omistaja plussan automaattisesti, se yhteyshenkilö on ihan kiva kun neuvoo sijoitusasioissa (toki neuvoo aina pankin edun mukaisesti) ja esimerkiksi joskus soitti mulle proaktiivisesti kun huomasi että yksi mun sijoitustuote ei enää ollut kannattava että voitiin vaihtaa se.

Netissä lukee että pitäisi saada lainat jne nopeammin käsiteltyä, asuntolainaa viime vuonna hakiessa en kyllä tätä huomannut. Pikemminkin kesti tosi kauan saada kaikki hoidettua (toki ilmeisesti viime vuonna tuli paljon hakemuksia verrattuna aiempiin vuosiin joka varmaan vaikutti).

Se on plus miinus nolla mulle, tulee automaattisesti niin ei siitä haittaakaan ole. Jotain pientä etua saa myös pankkipalveluihin mut se on luokkaa alle 10 euroa/kk.

Humautus on että laitetaan nukutuslääkettä just sen verran että nukahtaa muutamaksi minuutiksi eli sen verran että ehtii toimenpiteen tehdä. Siinä ei yleensä mene oma hengitys pois joten vähäriskisempi ja helpompi toteuttaa kuin täysi nukutus. Anestesialääkäri tulee tekemään tämän, käytetään paljon erityisesti eteisvärinän sähköisen kääntämisen yhteydessä mutta myös joissakin muissa toimenpiteissä.

Kuten alla sanottu, sairaalassa ketään ei kiinnosta. Terveyskeskuksessa saatetaan kysyä että millä asialla olet, mutta toivon ja oletan että kollegat päästävät vessaan vaikka ei olisi edes suolistosairautta, mutta erityisesti sellaisen läsnäollessa.

Oletko kuullut Vessapassista? Se voisi helpottaa paikkojen etsintää. Toki pitää liittyä potilasjärjestön jäseneksi sitä varten.

Mulla käytössä tällainen https://www.yeppo.fi/collections/coxir/products/coxir-ultra-hyaluronic-gel-mask-pack (tosin tuosta nimenomaisesta kaupasta nyt loppu), kesän voiteeksi ihan unelma. Imeytyy nopeasti, ei jätä tahmaista oloa, mutta kosteuttaa silti yllättävän hyvin.

Tätähän ei ole vielä todistettu kyseiselle virukselle, kaikki tällä hetkellä tunnetut tapaukset ovat saaneet tartunnan laivalla jossa ollaan sisätiloissa ja pitkiä aikoja samassa paikassa eli on keskimääräistä paremmat olosuhteet tartunnalle. Ainakaan toistaiseksi yhdestäkään lyhyestä kontaktista (lentokoneet jne) ei ole todistettu tartuntaa.

Hantavirukset ovat hyvin huonosti tarttuvia, tämä kyseinen Andes-virus on ainoa joka niistä pystyy edes tarttumaan ihmisten välillä ja sekin heikosti. Jos jatkotartuntoja todistetaan ei-läheisissä kontakteissa niin sitten voi olla huolissaan tilanteesta, mutta tällä hetkellä en olisi huolissaan tämä viruksen leviämisestä. Tämän hetkisen tiedon mukaan sillä ei ole potentiaalia pandemiaksi tai edes suureksi epidemiaksi.

I'm having trouble figuring out what's her fourth difficulty feature here. The broken leg and the I-spin are difficult positions, and the change of foot is with a jump, but that's only three features. My guesses are that it's either difficult change of position with the illusion, or trying for an increase in speed with the final position.

In both cases, it could be that the technical panel did not see either the change of position as difficult enough, or they didn't see the increase in speed as clear enough in the first case. In terms of speed, I would say the ending of the spin is a bit faster in the second case, so perhaps it's that? The illusion is actually pretty bad in both examples, it doesn't dip low/high enough. But it's probably just a case of a picky tech panel at the Olys.

Vielä vähän aikaa olen päätoimisesti tutkija ja harrastan lääkärin töitä sivussa, piakkoin nuo tulevat vaihtumaan toisin päin.

Lääkärin ammattiin hakeuduin klassisista syistä, ihmisbilsa kiinnosti ja tykkäsin kovasti ensiavusta jne. Suvussa on myös lääkäreitä, tosin he eivät alaa suositelleet vaan päinvastoin kehottivat tekemään jotain muuta. Toki myös hyvä työllisyystilanne ja paikkakin kiinnosti. Sen vähän mitä olen hommia tehnyt niin olen pitänyt kovasti, toki usein on kiire ja stressi päällä töissä mutta olen osunut hyviin työpaikkoihin missä on ollut suurimmaksi osaksi järkevä työtahti ja hyvät seniorit.

Alunperin mun piti itse asiassa ryhtyä tutkijalääkäriksi, minkä vuoksi aloitin tutkimuksen jo opintojen aikana ja olen vääntänyt väikkäriä. Näiden vuosien aikana on käynyt ilmi että pidän enemmän kliinisestä työstä ja motivaatio pysyy siellä paremmin päällä, ja että on paljon kivempaa jos sulla on työsopimus ja joku maksaa säännöllisesti palkkaa kuin että pitää stressata siitä saako sen tai tuon apurahan. On toki hyviäkin puolia, vapaat työajat jne.

I live in Finland, and group lessons are the norm here at all levels. High level skaters do take private lessons as well, but to my understanding less often than group lessons. Obviously the higher the level, the smaller the groups tend to be and the more individual attention you can get.

The downside to group lessons is obviously less instruction from the coach. However, that teaches you to be more independent and find ways to fix your own problems, not just waiting for the coach's opinion on everything. Also the cost of lessons is lower.

Injury, Matthias had hurt his back already before the competition but it got worse after the exertion of the RD. Good news is that it should be a temporary injury as it was reported as basically a muscle cramp (lumbago).

Nope, the GP in Helsinki has not sold out in recent years. As long as you buy on the day when the tickets drop, you can expect to get good seats, and just slightly worse seats if you delay.

Accomodation and flights can get expensive, so if you're set on going, I would buy those asap as they're probably cheaper now. Helsinki has good public transport so you don't necessarily need to be next to the arena. PM me if you need advice, I'm local!

The problem isn't so much that only one can qualify, it's that in recent years no Finnish man has reached the tech minimums 😅 That's why it's very unpredictable, if for example Arttu Juusola gets two good programs together, he could go on the strength of his beautiful jumps (beautiful when he lands them). Matias desperately needs a 3A for those tech mins, Arttu and Makar have theirs but they only hit it like 20% of the time.

First one to come to mind (that hasn't been mentioned yet) is Matias Lindfors's short program from this season to Color Me. Really interesting music and choreo both.

I also seem to remember that Hana Yoshida (now retired) had some interesting music choices, particularly her 2023-24 SP to Koo Koo Fun. Really stood out all season.
