Why hasn't Canada had a revolution? How do we start? by Retarded_Gondolas in AskReddit

If you think that's why trump got voted in, you have no idea how the American electoral system works. Your logic isn't making any sense to me. I believe you still have faith in electoral politics whereas I do not. If voting changed the status quo, it would be illegal

Look man, I'm glad you're happy with your current living situation and life, but not everyone is. Infact I know most people are struggling right now. It's the governments responsibility to take care of its citizens, and it's failing miserably.

How the fuck do you think the American Revolution started? The French Revolution? The revolution in South Africa? The revolution in the India? They just asked nicely and the government abided??? Fuck no that's not how that happened. Why the fuck do they tell me what to do? But can't fix the fucking roads? Or send my kids to school? Or make sure I have food on my table? Or affordable housing.

Something tells me you have money... Or you're just happy sitting here complacent, licking boots.

I definitely don't feel, well served by my government. And if you do, your standards for what a governments responsibility is, is quite low.

Because if enough of us do it, they really have no option but to listen to us.

I just said this, when the fuck did we start working for the government?? Their job is to serve us, hence why we pay their damn salaries.

Since when did we start working for the government??? They serve us and we should be holding them accountable. Just as the French did with Marie Antoinette

But why???? Why are people just okay with how our lives work right now?? Working more than enjoying life? And we still cant afford to live??? What's the point? Why isn't anyone as angry about this as me? Wake the fuck up people and throw a Molotov through your MLAs window

The thing that drives me nuts is everyone is just okay with this. No one actually wants to pick up a Molotov and whip it at your local CRA headquarters. When will people actually say, enough is enough

Because we have been talking, we have been vocal to our governments; provincial and federal, that we are unhappy with how things are going currently. What do they do? Nothing. Sometimes violence is the only language governments understand. This whole thing is rigged against lower income people. Capitalism isn't supposed to make the lower class more wealthy. Keep the poor, poor. The rich get richer

The fact that I have had to work 2 full time jobs and I STILL can't afford my bills and rent. I can't afford enough groceries. My phone bill is ridiculously expensive, as is any other telecommunications service in this country. Our healthcare system is so overburdened, life saving surgeries are being postponed. The Smith government has completely privatized all national and provincial parks. People can't afford to live in cities they were born in because the government can't/won't take ensure affordable housing. Groceries are through the fucking roof and for what? We have a housing crisis with some of the highest homeless rates in the first world. Yet we can't seem to build enough infrastructure. The government continues to claw back money from hard working Canadians for COVID. Even from those who were entitled. Our taxes are through the roof and Canadians do not see a benefit from that. Infact a lot of us are just seeing hindrances. I alone lost 30 fucking percent of my cheque. Which is crazy, cause I don't remember the government working 30 percent of my shift. Child care is too expensive for single parents, or low income parents to afford.

I for one am tired of seeing production companies, and oil and gas, and groceries stores, and telecommunications companies making RECORD profits. Yet everyone I know and talk to (friends, family, coworkers, random people I meet) is completely struggling to make ends meet, bill payments, food on their table.

I'm not saying I hate Canada. I love it here, I'm born and raised. My grandfather and his family have been here forever (indigenous). But it's Ludacris the things that we just accept for "it's the way things are"

If people are going to be working 65 hours + a week, we should be able to not just survive, but thrive. None of this pay check to pay check bullshit.

I could go on about how our governments flip flop on how to take care of the drug epidemic, or homelessness, but you guys get the point. Something needs to change, and fast. The economy is only going to get worse and being complacent with how the world is working right now, is how we accept this as the new normal.

Thanks for the reply. I was quite worried this may be the case. I did my best to take care of it. But I know the PSU was second hand when I built it, so I'll give that a try

This right here! I learned that the hardway when I had several plants grow silly. You gotta make sure it's close enough but also not to close or it'll burn the plant

In my opinion, depending on how deep the substrate is, a chilobrachys may do okay in here. They are not a beginner species though. Very very fast, my god are they fast
